Just less than 10 minutes statement it takes interviews on different platforms to explain. Now my take, it’s not that people don’t understand him but he needs to understand the common sense in that sensitive issues cannot be used as soundbite and that is what he misses or deliberately uses in order to gain attention. To be fair some education requires harsh pronouncements to trigger attention of the audience . But in Ghana how many will do the follow up or how many in Ghana will watch and listen to your explanation especially when your explanation has not been captured or hyped as the original statement. Because of that don’t just say it even it is true because you may not have the time to properly explain Remember majority of Ghanaians are still illiterate. Meaning they require proper explanation in order to gain understanding which is the ultimate goal well I hope it is and not one of those media games. He seems to forget that as a teacher yes councillors or anyone that has something to say are teachers so always remember your audience who they are. On social media audience you would expect that even if they don’t understand they can google it because they have the means my issue is the old woman or man that gets their news from TV how are they going to follow up on your explanation. Know your audience. There’s a reason why judges will tell you to use the same medium to apologise after defaming someone so you can get the same audience. Anyway, very soon Ghana leaders will start responding like the western leaders in that they will respond to public outcry and suspend him from media platforms. I personally don’t support that because here in UK the number of speeches that are being categorised as hate speech has created atmosphere that no one can talk unless you support the system. All these shows this guy has no sense or academic expertise of psychology. Rape is different from consensual vigorous sex. Rape and sexual defilement a violation of human right and should not be glorified of justified by separating the sex from the violence.
