Amber Heard testified for nearly four days in her defamation trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp. After an intense cross-examination, Heard's attorney attempted to rehabilitate her testimony, but instead spent much of their questioning responding to countless objections from Depp's attorneys, most of which were sustained by the judge.

LEGAL TERMS for context : - *Overruled* means the objection isn't valid. - *Sustained* means the objection is valid. - *Hearsay* is ANY out of court statement. Verbal evidence, voice recordings and even real/relevant documents can still be considered hearsay. - *An out of court statement* is anything from outside the courtroom that has lack of foundation. - *Lack of foundation* is things based on exhibits not properly entered into evidence. - *Leading* is a question that implies the anser for the witness, and is only allowed under cross examination.

@@monkey_man_lootenant_dan2684 I just hope that Johnny actually prevails in this. I highly doubt the jury is picking up what AH and her team are trying to put down, but there's always that chance. It is stuff like this that makes guys not want to deal with women, even though it's certainly not even close to most that do this, but the repercussions it can have to simply be accused without any evidence is enough to deter many. This needs to help make the law see men and women as equals when it comes to abuse/assault/domestic violence, because it is equally damaging to the victims regardless of gender.

Especially the fact that a professional and supposed respectable attorney was annihilated by a young non-partner attorney in such a fashion that it went as far as her arguing “what if any/anything” is a “cure-all” in a cross was the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever seen in 15 years of law.

Elaine may have struggled a bit, but it was Ms. Heard that lost the case. Elaine "what if anything" Bredehoft was most likely fighting a losing battle with a client that insisted on getting things in that weren't allowed or did not matter. (IE ENT records without the actual ENT testifying=heresay and why Johnny would not look at her in the eyes) This was a good example of a client refusing to listen to her attorneys. Elaine Bredehoft is probably also used to depositions where you can ask leading questions and the majority of her cases never make it to trial. Bottom line is Amber lost this case for Amber. Nobody else.

Camile really loves Johnny, that says a lot about their relationship and WINNING. She fought so hard for him and she made me proud. It brightens my day to see relatively young Camille trounce the alleged experienced lead attorney for Amber. I recall my days as a trial attorney. I’m telling you that Camille was having a fantastic time defeating the dragon who is used to getting away with being sloppy and expecting to get the upper hand just because she’s older. Hurray for Camille. She is the high point of this trial! Thank you for making so many sustained objections that I lost count at 23.

I have followed every minute of this trial, and I do believe Mr. Depp's lawyers deliberately were playing a softer approach, maybe to encourage Amber's team to be less aware of them as an EXTREMELY competent team.
