We all worship something. Whatever we give our time, money, & energy too might not be our "verbal" savior but it is our "functional" savior. The question isn't "do" we worship, but "who" do we worship. This poem is me sharing about my journey to find that only Jesus truly satisfies. Everything else over promises & under delivers.

These understandings are taught through the spirit as you know. Obey your spirit and leave all the consiquences to God and He will share even more with you. For it becomes a spiritual love from Father that youd never felt before.

I think the big problem that we are having in this world now is people don't really understand who God is , I read some of comments down and I see people complaining about God not working on there problems or maybe he's not answering their prayers but my question is ''At first place why do you believe in God? why do you pray? or why do you go to church? , see I myself do all these things because he is the creator he's God , he created me to worship him , but what i noticed is that a lot of people turn church to hospital , people just believe in God for their problems people just go to church because they poor or sick or they wanna get job or whatever the reason and that's the mistake here , we have to believe in God because he is God and not because we want our lives to be good or anything because non of what your asking can save you but his love and grace so seek for that

Jesus saved me almost 8 years ago now after watching this video. The road has not been easy at all but God has been so faithful. Totally worth it! What gives me worth is my Savior Jesus Christ. I couldn't have lived the life I lived without Him. He is real, and He loves me and you! WOW! My go-to poem when this world gets to be too much for me! It humbles me and reminds me that nothing is more important than Him. Don't let things, people, or situations dictate your feelings of love and happiness - God is in total control every moment of every day. He's so in love with you, remind yourself of that and allow yourself to feel that love.

I think you're a messenger of God, an angle of God, Speaking to all of us. I Thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. You put the most valuable things in life into perspective and give us a real reality check. Its too easy to get lost in the daily rat race . Like you said "a facade" . Watching this video made me change my WHOLE ASPECT in which to beleive that everything in this world could not be created without our Holy Father. The drug was stronger and better in my mind than God but its all fading horrible sinful crap that ruins your body. Only Jesus is worth it. I would like to thank you, for words that are hard to say, because sometimes the hardest thing to do is admit our wrongs in order to push for change. It easy to want change but hard to change. Its so funny how some people swear and proclaim that their atheist and what not, yet they're still here. Okay, we get your don't believe that's fine. He isn't forcing you to believe anything, you clicked on the video very well knowing what it contained. So if you don't believe in God that's perfectly fine. Great video! Thanks for sharing this video John. I’ve attended at least a dozen different churches since 2019, and I have given up on most of them. I have been mistreated by a lot of Christians in and out of the church since I was fourteen. I turned my back on God for the longest time because of this from 2011-2017.

I loved what you had to say, and the way you said it. You are absolutely right; we don't need those things. They don't matter compared to God. fml. kam they watch it for 2 reasons.. one of them being to see if they can be convinced yet that God is real since they most likely believed at one point. Also second reason could be to gain ammo to support their disbelief. They can then go and say stuff like "Just like in this video i saw this christian poem rapper say that a magazine is sin!"

+LHlandwalker God made us and the world, before you were born He set the rules of the universe, realise that you have two choices where you spend eternity. Just like how when you kill someone you go to jail. Your not going to get anywhere complaining and arguing about how unfair the rules are, the only way to save yourself from a life in prison is to make the choice that your not going to kill someone. God loves you, He knows that everything He tells us to do, brings us greater pleasure, why? because He created the world that way! The child sees a toy and reaches to grab it, the parent sees the child grab for a knife and moves the knife beyond the child's reach. The child, not knowing any better, begins to cry and complain that the parent wants to keep him from a toy that will bring him joy to play with. Stop questioning the parent, He knows better than you! Caitlin, you came in here on this video, that is a beautiful poem written by Jefferson Bethke and start mocking something you don't even believe in. I don't see you mocking unicorns, santa or fairies obviously there's something in your heart thats convicting you when it comes to God.

A poem is not beautiful if it professes a lie. I mock mythological creatures such as the Christian god because large masses of people actually believe in such delusions. People have killed in the name of god, not in the name of the mighty purple unicorn.

Caitlin Brady Yes, Christians are dangerouse. We travel all across the world helping the poor, and building infrastructure, we volunteer for the community, and we are less prone to do drugs, get a divorice and cause harms to others according to statistics. We are really dangerouse. What you are doing now is picking at straws, atheists regimes has killed more people in the 20th century alone, than all of God believing societies combined throughout all recorded history! Stalin, Merxim, Cambodia, North Korea, Communism all count over a 100 million people dead! If anything atheistic societies where you believe you are the center of the universe is the most dangerouse of all. Here is the deal, mankind is dangerouse. You never judge a view according to those who follow it, but by what the view teaches.

I thought the vid had pretty good production values for what was probably a very inexpensive video. It took some candles and a little work to get the lighting right. As for the content, it's a zero, unfortunately. No offense. Even the theoretical girl who worships her boyfriend is worshiping something that responds to her behavior, something she can see and hear and touch. The traditional god has none of those characteristics. So I'm not sure if Jefferson has the concept of "counterfeit gods" exactly right. Of course I've seen a lot of different girls with a lot of different boyfriends (including a few of my own) and none of them have been exactly gods either.

Katie - the traditional God can be heard, and you can feel his presence physically even though not in a sexual way, but a much more intense love than any man can ever give. You just have to be willing to ask Him in. Its not that its bad to be in relationships, its when a girl feels like she cant go on without a particular guy in her life - then she goes from loving him to worshiping him.

Just because you've never felt God doesn't mean he is nonexistent. He's the one who GAVE you those characteristics. He is spiritual, the physical world cannot comprehend the spiritual. There is an eternity, the flesh may die but the soul will live forever. God is not limited, he doesn't operate on TIME; he exceeds it. God is the great "I AM" The beginning and the end, HE is to be awed and reverenced, Jesus Christ is the only way and if you let your mere 5 human senses determine your eternal destiny you're blind, deaf, and dumb. God is real, more real than you.

Everyone needs to listen to this every day until it's understood. The message and grace of our Lord is key to humanity of his example on earth. Some seem to forget the teachings of what happened to Sodom. It was full of sin and lead to it's destruction since it wasn't God glorifying. Jesus is greater than temporary satisfaction of a club, sex or alcohol. If only more people could try understand how much he loves us and remove the grace of God from the violated image of the church that failed His people.
