I ran into a guy at the parts store in his 70’ Boss 302, all OG. Said he bought it brand new in 71’ for around $1800. That was a sweet car, much respect. His wife had him appraise it for insurance… $90k. What a car that was.

Anybody remember growing up in the early 80s, those cars were a dime a dozen. Don't lie, we raced them. Modified them trashed them. And then we were all stupid enough to get married and it went from mustang to minivan

My neighbor had a 69 Mach 1 I had a 68 KR.. (have) Came home 72 never forget the racing we did in the foothills around our places. Not too many other cars no cops and we were invincible.. The finest days

69 Mack 1 Fast Back ...I had the 351 Cleveland with Four Speed transmission... first Car, 15 years old with a learners permit..summer of 76...Cragers ,air shocks, 60's on the back.. good old days looking back... dam it took some skill to Handel those Beast...Chaining Motors down... and ripping off rear lug nuts was common

Mach 1 from 69 is a classic. Be carefull where you park that car. Some crook out there might try stealing it. Send his to San Quentin if he even tries that. Fine specimen of a car!

I had a '69 with a 390. Bought it in 1977 for $1200 and sold it in 1979. I wish I still owed it.

You only get to Drive a Brand New one Once in a life time.! An I will never ever forget it! It was so cool an the sound I will never forget I was 15 an a mechanic I New had just got one an he let me drive it. From his shop parking lot into the garage about 300 feet but it was nice really nice!!!!

I noticed that he leaned on the car. If that was me I would never have touched the car to begin with. If that's all original that's an amazing vehicle my favourite Mustang I had a 67 Mustang 289 the three speed on the floor. Wish I never gave it up

i grew up next to a ford dealer, the owner was collector. in the back lot, he had all kinds of cars that are priceless now. 2 yes 2 1968 gt350 shelby cobra 428's. we used to get in them and play at night like we were racing.

Grew up in Dearborn, Mi. before the culture change. You guys should come to the Woodward dream cruise a weekend in August where about a million people from around the country bring there hot rods, old classics yeah and some Frankensteins,but it is amazing!!

I had a chance to buy a 70 Mach one from the original owners son for 1200.00 it was all original, he had no idea what he had. The day I went to pick it up it was gone. Someone offered him 5 for it. Still drives me crazy...

Absolutely. I just commented about that as a general comment. My Grandma ran the parts counter for Grandpa's shop in Arizona starting in 59'.

I bought a 1969 mach1 in 1975 off a large car dealership , mine had the 351 Cleveland engine , automatic , had 18,000 original miles , the purchase price was (as I recall ) like 2895.00+ tax ( as is , no warranty) I wish I still had it , that 428 cobra jet is a serious monster !

My brother and I had a new 69 Mach 1 with the 351 Cleveland, 3 speed manual in Grabber Orange. Spoiler and real window slats. He took a corner too fast, lost rear traction and spun it into an embankment, totaling it. All the weight was in the front not balanced like modern cars. Chicks loved it though. If it had been the 428, well, that would have been a cryin shame!

69 may fav. But the front looks just like 67-68 just bigger. The 70 front was completely different and 69-70 shelby was sick with completely different front clip.

Brings back fine memories. That was my car( not Mach I)in 66 when I was 20 yrs old. My Mach I was 71 after I got rid of my 427 Corvett which I never enjoyed.

The 69 Mach 1 didn't replace the GT, it displaced it. They were both produced that year, but the flashier image and a list of standard features at a good price(base 351 v8, deluxe interior with hi-back buckets, blacked out hood with lock pins, reflective graphics, racing mirrors, rim blow steering wheel, etc) that were optional on GT's and regular production Mustangs made the GT obsolete. It was discontinued for 1970. The Mach 1 shared the same Competition Suspension. I'm a little bias, because I own a candy apple red 69 Mach 1 with the base 351 Windsor. Ford got cheap with the 1971-73 Machs- base v8 was a 302 2v, stock interior was the base model. They must have realized they were giving you too much for the price.

That suburban Ryan won. Mike raced thinking he had as much a chance as the other guys. Danny promised that Mike wouldn't get the suburban. Mike is one of the best painter in the world. Maybe you guys need to treat him better. We have 72 cars in our warehouse that needs restoring. We have to rethink now as to where their going.
