Hello Shannon, thank you so much for sharing! Though our crafts differ, learning how to package and present them is somewhat the same and you've helped prepare me for my own upcoming craft fair. Again, Thank you! You are gifted in what you do, that's obvious, but then to learn how and share how to go about packaging the craft, is an art form all on it's own. Hi Shannon I just wanted to let you know how much you are helping me. I am due to do my very first event at a local dog show in July and when I was watching one of your tutorials I noticed how you were talking about your first craft fair. Boosted my confidence a lot. Since then I’ve been watching all your vlogs and you have inspired me so much! My husband is also hooked! Thank you for walking us through the practical aspects of all this. Packaging and mounting prints are two things I find intimidating because I haven't done them yet. And I like that the way you present your art at the market matches the feel of the art itself.

Hi Shannon. I’ve only just come across your channel and immediately subscribed. You’re an inspiration to anyone who’s interested in arts and crafts. I’m in my sunset years (62 years old) and only just now started exploring my creative side. Photography, art and also combining the two by hand colouring my black & white photos using mostly oils but have also used acrylics. I’ve always been interested in art & craft shows and you have given me the inspiration and push I needed to go for it.

Another fabulous and informative video … it was lovely to go through the process with you … when I first retired ** years ago I had been making cards for a while and was going to make and sell them but my first craft sale I knew nothing about what to bring, how to present, etc … I sold one card to my friend who didn’t have the heart not to buy 😁 if I had seen your video then I probably wouldn’t have given up so easily. I’m now at the age where I feel it’s a little late to start buying printers and packaging so I will just continue to do enjoy what I do and send the cards to people or give them to friends to send out 😊 I look forward to watching all the rest of your videos Oh I wondered how you fold your cards?

Thank you so much I’m glad you enjoyed it! It’s really difficult when you’re first starting out isn’t it, I find I do the cards and prints more for the joy of it than the profit I make as I couldn’t make a full income off it ☺️ I use a scoring board to get the fold! amzn.to/46FKFdN

I love this Shannon! I sell my artwork in craft/art fairs in the US. There are so many sales in the summer months that I have to pass up because they are outside sales. I have a canopy but I’ve learned the hard way that selling my paper products in the rain is a bad idea, also very hot heat is bad too because the cellophane sleeves my prints are in can sometimes get steamy inside- ugh! I’m glad you were in that huge tent! You are so right- the more shows you do the better and easier it is! Also you realize which shows you want to repeat the next year after doing them once. I love the way you have packaged your tags and pins! You have a lovely & professional table set up! I think your idea to have a book showing your past commissions is a great idea!

Thank you so much Hannah! Oh no I'm so sorry you had to learn that the hard way, weather is such a big thing to contend with when it comes to craft fairs and markets. Thankfully a lot of the markets here are indoors or in these large tents so we only need to worry about weather spoiling the footfall. Thank you that's so kind, I think I definitely need to get working on that commission book! ☺️🤍

I discovered your channel a little while ago, I think I've binge watched all your vlogs 😅 but I don't think I've ever left a comment. So I'll try do that more often! I'm hoping to do a craft fair next year maybe once I've built up a wildlife collection and I find your videos really helpful and inspiring, so thank you 😊 I ordered a few of my favourite bits from your website the other week, it was so nicely packaged and the items are beautiful! I did order bookmark and agree with getting some more designs for it. I would have loved to have had one in your stag and bee drawings ❤

I adore your artwork and your clean style and presentation of your artwork. I'm doing my first craft show next month. Shannon, your artwork is beautiful and you are so calm and methodical + have a fab studio space. I am sure it takes loads of hardwork but you make it look effortless. Thank you for sharing the processes. I'm going to look, at your other vlogs to see what pencils you use. It's years since I've drawn anything but would like to try before my eyesight and dexterity disappears 😂 Good luck with the shows, I'm sure your work will sell very well.

Thank you so much that's really kind! I use mostly the Faber Castell Polychromos and a few Caran D'ache Luminance, Pablos and Derwent Drawing here and there. But if I was to suggest one set to start with it would be the Polychromos ☺️ Thank you very much 🤍

i use very clean fine sand paper to erase but it will effect the texture of your paper , it wont smear signature like eraser does love your art

Hi Shannon. I love your beautiful art and how you make your own cards! I am starting my own art business with my mum and sister very soon with doing pet commissions and wildlife art, and also printing our own prints and cards using our new Epson ET-8550 printer and we were wondering where you get your bookmark sleeves from? We're trying to keep economical with our packaging even down to the recyclable tape! But, we're having difficulty finding any bookmark sleeves without using any plastic. Thank you 😊

@@shannonmullin You are welcome😊 Yey! Have found Alice, looks like the right one, thank you!👍Also have to say that the art stitching you did in Affinity Photo just saved me! Have the software but did not know it could do that! Tried others that gave so wonky edges that they had to be severely cropped. Was about to give in and buy an A3 scanner soon. Would never get to paint A2 again haha.. So thank you so MUCH for sharing. You have made me truly happy today🎉😁👍

Thank you so much I’m glad you did! Not with the model I have but there’s an A3 size which is the next model up, it’s the ET-8550 and it’s exactly the same just bigger ☺️

Hi Vanessa! I used the Tintoretto Gesso paper for my gift tags & greeting cards and Epson fine art textured natural paper for the prints! 😊

So informative! I do watercolor pet portraits and I've been debating the best way to market my commissions at a live sale. I'm curious what kind of "leaflets" you give to people who are interested in a comission?

Thank you! I pretty much put a shorter version of what’s on my commissions page on my website, I put info about the process, timescale and testimonials. I never put prices on as I change them once or twice a year and it would mean having to change the leaflets every time ☺️
