One of the 'greats' who could stand on the quality of her voice alone...no elaborate costume, make-up, theatrical presentation/'gyrations' or technology...just a 'gifted' voice, solid back-up band, and 'ALL HEART' from a 'free-spirit' who continues to inspire...if only in great memories~!!! THANK YOU, LINDA~

I recently heard an interview with Linda Rhonstadt & she says she LOVES KZfaq! I thought I was the only one. I LOVE watching her perform as well as hearing her hit all those notes PERFECTLY! I am disabled with lupus, scoliosis & just had open heart surgery to replace a mitral valve. It’s tough being house bound & really not feeling well enough to go anywhere. I play Linda Rhonstadt a lot of the day! I prefer you-tube because I’m a visual person. THANK YOU LINDA for all the joy you give today & in the past! God Blessed us with you! 💞💞💞

I am very glad you know the power music has on mood and mental health. I have used music to get through various extended times of being ill. I recently saw an interview with her, too- she is fantastic. She's so sweet and childlike in a fun way. It is a shame she isn't able to sing any longer- she described singing as feeling like skiing very fast. It made her so happy, I feel so bad that was taken away from her. I'm sure she's dealing with it better than me!

My mother saw The Stone Ponies in concert at her catholic, all girls college. Miss Ronstadt came onto stage barefoot in her beautiful free spirit splendor & all the nuns were horrified! I grew up listening to Linda Ronstadt (at 77, she's just 3 months older than me) and unfortunately, we now share the same debilitating disease, a rare form of Parkinson's Disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. PSP stole her voice and today she is in a wheelchair and requires an around-the-clock caretaker. But thank God we will forever have her voice, that powerful instrument with a vocal range that defies definition. She sang everything from rock, to ballads, to light opera. Her album with Nelson Riddle and his orchestra, featuring songs from the 1940s, is priceless. God bless you, sweet lady.

Every time an exceptional musician or singer passes away, a part of our past goes with it. Just the way I feel about it. We grow old alongside them and one day....they just leave us and probably go to a better place beyond our imagination....and then it really sinks in just how special they were. So coming across such recordings or videos takes us back for a few moments and warms our hearts....and then we're back in the here and now....realizing how precious life is and that we need to embrace it. Thanks for putting such material out there to make us happy....THANK YOU!

Wow...one word...speachless! I've always LOVED Linda...I played her hits on piano in restaurants from age 10 through college, sang her harmony enriched hits with friends a cappella style for years...but this, THIS concert brings EVERY facet Linda Ronstadt brings to that brilliant diamond she so creatively built over the years of her reining as the Queen of...the Queen of...EVERYTHING upon which she laid those beautiful vocal tones that emulated from her very soul...I'm simply speachless after sitting, watching and listening to every amazing note she sang...so diverse, just simply AMAZING! Linda, if you read this, PLEASE know, and I hope I'm speaking for everyone that knows what gift you gave to the ears of the world during your rein, Linda, please don't feel that you let anyone down because some uncontrolled condition prevented you from singing any longer, once you decided it was just too much...by that time, you had already given us all the most wonderful gift any artist such as yourself could possibly give. The years of travelling with you along your vocal journey is a gift none of us could possibly give you the proper "Thank you" that you SO deserve! You're amazing, you're wonderful, you're beautiful...you lift the life in us all to a height from which we could never descend, because we don't want to...you've lifted us up so much with every note you sang. We LOVE YOU, LINDA!

People say she is one of the greatest singers ever.... They are absolutely wrong; such an understatement. She is by far the greatest female voice God ever created. Perfection in every aspect. No one can hold a candle to Linda Ronstadt. No "singer" today, not even the original singers/songwriters....She takes anything she chooses and makes it ten-thousand-fold better. Linda blows the originals away like a tornado in a test tube. People say, what is your favorite color; what food, if only one, would you eat the rest of your life? Impossible to answer. But, what music would you listen to if you had only one singer to chose? Linda Ronstadt. Perfection personified.

I'll never forget the time my Dad's friend that drove a truck like my dad we walked in his house one day he was playing her. I asked who that was .he told me Linda Ronstadt I was hooked from day one. Love everything she sings. Especially Nelson Riddle music such beautiful music and the songs in Spanish she made for her father. Such beautiful music .and has the power in her voice too make those songs sung like they should be. Love you Linda you will always be the greatest woman singer in my book . The only other person I like is Ann Wison from Heart just awesome woman. With wonderful talent. God bless you Linda your most bestest fan. KRYSTE Deleon from Oklahoma.👩‍🎤🎸🎹🥁🎶🎶🎶🎚🎛🎧🎼🎼🎵🎵🎙🎤

The absolute best ever. What a stunning beauty as well as a magnificent voice. What range she had! So blessed to have such a natural talent. Made it sound effortless. Gives me chills just listening to her voice. I saw her in concert back in the Late 70s, was blown away. Mostly blown away by her speaking voice versus her singing your voice. She had such a soft, melodic, speaking voice then she would belt out these beautiful Spirited songs. Don’t tell anyone, But I had a girl crush on her too. God bless her!! Always a class act.

It's Spring 2020 and I am a family man in his mid-fifties who's an out'n'out music freak with an eclectic collection of (not over-estimating) tens of thousands of musical recordings on everything from vinyl to high-definition audience-recorded live concerts. Linda Ronstadt still, to this day, knocks my socks off ever since listening to her covers of 50s & 60s classics like "You're No Good" and "When Will I Be Loved".... Music's been a major part of my existence since the 1970s when I could barely afford 45rpm discs. And, Linda's definitely "up there' in terms of being a major voice. One realizes how important (not just entertaining, but critical) a performer is when he/she/they perform cover versions that send the listener on a journey to the originators of those same songs. Linda Ronstadt and The Beatles and The Rolling Stones and later on, the Travelling Wilburys all sent me on mission to discover records by Little Richard, Bettye Everett (and everyone on the Vee Jay Records label), Roy Orbison (that blend of teenage heartbreak and opera), Chuck Berry (who I met once & shook THAT hand) and Bo Diddley (who I met once & shook THAT hand) (and everyone else on the Chess/Checker Records label), Phil & Don Everly, Carl Perkins and Sun Records, Hank Williams. As The Doors' Jim Morrison said on stage at the Toronto Pop Festival (Sept 1969), these illustrious performers opened-up strange, new catacombs of wisdom. But, back to Linda. Folks got to remember that she had guts and insight. She was the first in '82 (?) to release a concept album of cover versions from the 30s/40s Tin Pan Alley American songbook. The record was called "What's New" and it opened up an entirely new career path to which many vocalists followed later in their careers. Rod Stewart released like four or five "Great American Songbook" albums, successfully redefining himself into a mature, classy crooner (and providing the royalties and tour proceeds for the new homes his great-grandchildren will someday purchase). Rod, and anyone else who releases projects based on Hoagy Carmichael and George 'n Ira Gershwin songs owes a massive debt to Linda Ronstadt. She knew - gut instinct or perhaps good management - that looking to the past with reverence and taste (AND TALENT) is marketable. Sad that I never and will never get to see these artists perform in person. Linda's retired. Orbison left us much too early. Elvis, the human, crumbled under the weight of being ELVIS. Morrison and Hendrix and Janis entered orbit but burnt-up on re-entry before I was old enough to operate a phonograph. Good art is like that. Like the lighting of a wooden matchstick. You gotta look at the flame when it's burning as it may be gone much too soon. But, we still have the records.
