Today we have a Miroku Shotguns Review Comparison.
We want to show our viewers the slight differences between a 1973 Miroku Shotgun and a 1975 Miroku Shotgun.
Throughout 2019 will have a lot more videos to share with you and are leading up to some very special Miroku shotguns that you will probably have never seen before.
We believe these Miroku shotguns to be a Miroku 3700, with the 1973 being a Miroku Superior Grade.
Both of these Mirokus are a great value for money shotgun. Miroku sporting shotguns are extremely well made.
Throughout this video we will show the slight differences between these Mirokus such as the slight different in engraving, the different combs and ribs.
Both of these are Miroku shotgun Type 4 actions.
In the 1975 Miroku shotgun you can start to see a bit more of the Browning Shotguns influence. Some of the styling of these gun can be found in other Browning shotguns.
The earlier Miroku features a file cut rib and a parallel comb, whereas the 1975 Miroku shotgun features a standard Miroku Skeet / Sporting rolled away stock.
We have a passion for Miroku shotgun history and Browning shotgun history and we have plenty of videos which we hope you will enjoy watching.
• VERY UNUSUAL! Miroku 8...
• Miroku 3700 3800 Skeet...
• Browning B25 A1 Shotgun
We will also be bringing you new 2019 shotgun reviews and showing what we believe to be the top value for money shotguns.
If you would like to watch our video of a beautiful Miroku Sporter Shotgun then we have a video of the Miroku President shotgun.
• BEAUTIFUL! Miroku Spor...
For more great value for money shotgun please take a look at our website.

Having owned nearly every grade of b25 in the English market, some 2 or three times my favourite being a C3 trap narrow rib but I would be at the front of the queue to say Miroku are every bit as good as the browning range their reliability ,hard wearing ,and handling quality is SUPERB . I've owned my mk3800 32" trap 30yrs it's never missed a beat and the gun has been hammered .

Just bought two early Miroku over unders , ones prince of Wales grip and early Miroku rib with 2 hole firing pin screws and 26 1/2 inch barrels some black still on and black but pad . The other standard grip , adjustable comb , later rib , three hole firing pin screws , gold ( colour ? ) plating to forestock and some underneath on action . Red/black/white bud pad and 30 inch barrels . I too think these guns are quality and they still work . Thanks for the videos and information . I’ve just come over from target , deer stalking and cowboy action shooting to clays . Hope I made a good choice of guns .

After viewing your video, I have, I think, a Charles Daly 12 GA by BC Miroku that is a 1973 build. It has gold inlayed engraving and very good shape. Do you know what type of Chokes they would have. It is fixed and suspect it would be I/4 and 3/4??? Also what is the difference of a Charles Daly and a 3700. My S/N is 375495. I bought this gun in 1978 from a private person used and have hardly used it. I am getting ready for my a fun Trap even at the end of June, 2019, so I have really enjoyed all the online information. I am not sure how I see your reply?? My email is jstilgh@gmail.com. I hit subscribe button so I am not sure what that does. I look forward to your response. Jim

I can’t enough of the videos! Thank you! I have one with the Superior grade engraving. It has the grip cap with white line. The butt is curved, has white line, and a red B C Miroku pad. Serial is 557###. It measures 1.25” at comb and 1.5” at heel of comb. Almost a parallel comb. Checkering is not flat topped.I hope this info adds to the body of knowledge. I would appreciate any more info.

Hi Tim, Another interesting video. Thank you. Question: there’s a 3800 and a Mk38. There’s a Mk 70 and a Mk 60 and of course the 7000 and 6000. In each case I suspect the four digit number is the predecessor to the two digit model number. The question is, if this is correct, what’s the difference and why go for one over the other, what’s to be gained from spending more money on the newer model?
@CountrywayGunshop1
@CountrywayGunshop1 5 жыл бұрын
You are correct regarding the Miroku models. What is gained from buying new over the second hand models is that when buying new you are getting a gun that has never been shot or played around with. When buying second hand, you're never quite sure what kind of life they have lived.

Very informative video, When did they start using letters on serial numbers? (Browning influence as you mentioned). I also own a miroku millennium shotgun, (MK70) any information on this would be good. Miroku make some of the best shotguns around!

Hi. Miroku starting using letters in their serial numbers around 1975-1980. Regarding the Millenium shotgun, that particular model never came over to England. We would love to see some pictures of it if you could email them to us - gunroom@countrywaygunshop.co.uk

That was my theory too as to the design on the latch, glad to see it may be correct. I have a 700 made no later than 1968, the year my grandfather bought it at the US Navy Exchange in Yokosuka.

The serial number on my 800 only has one letter at the start which is the letter "m' what year would that make it?

Hi guys, really enjoyed this video - I'm in Sydney Australia, and just picked up an older Miroku and was trying to work out the model. It is extremely similar (almost exact!) to the one you showed here from 1975, and has a serial no of 678xxx, with no letters. However, I see no model number on mine, only the word 'Stirling' (not 'Sterling'). It only shows the Japanese proof marks - nothing else. It happens to have a monte carlo stock, which makes me think it might be an 800 Trap?. Can you tell me anything about it please?
@fullchoke01
@fullchoke01 2 жыл бұрын
It will be an 800 w trap, was just the importers fuller firearms having everything they brought in marked as stirling to denote them as their products, they did it with rifles scopes etc

i have a miroku serial number series starting with 52, it doesnt say charles daly and it has some gold inlay in the BC Miroku lettering and a cap on the pistol grip, what year and what grade/model number do you think it is? it is beautiful and hardly shot at all. I picked it up for 800 bucks a few years back on a whim. Regards, EJ

Sorry to hear that you felt you needed to listen to the video long enough to the point you couldn't bear it any longer. You're more then welcome to mute it. I suppose that's one of the bonuses of a video, you can have it with or without sound, or skip it altogether. Hope you enjoy watching some of our other videos.
