I used to enjoy spicy food quite a lot, until one day when I ate a lot of spicy chicken before an important presentation for one of my courses was about to come up the next day. I then almost ended up shitting in the pants during the presentation in front of the entire class due to the constant stimulation received by my guts from all those spicy stuff I consumed 😂That feeling of despair and anxiety was indeed unforgettable. I have then abstained from spicy stuff since that day.

Based on online information, the bullet train takes 4 hours between Beijing (Amy) and Changchun (Derk). The ticket price is $80 something. The bullet train speed is 300 KM/H.

5:37 *NO* You do *NOT* "Get rid of the head"! The head is the *BEST PART*. The yellow butter inside is WAY BETTER than the tail. Give them to me. I'll enjoy every drop.

I'm late to this comment but yes, it's stupid to throw away the head, the head contains the "shrimp oil" which is the best part. You suck on the head to get all that juicy stuff in.

I am from Beijing but work in brisbane now. I just want to say Huda restaurant is not the spiciest and most authentic crayfish restaurant in Beijing. But I would like to recommend you a small but very distinctive hotpot at the bottom of the rattan pepper pot, and the location is also in Guijie. This restaurant is called Qimen hotpot (奇门涮肉).

Love the video (as always! so much fun to watch!) I think Derk can really handle the spicy level presented so far. Next step maybe we need to bring out the spicy Szechuan hotpot (but Amy you should be very careful with it judging from your previous video--the one you tried the hotpot with a group of friends). Derk has been so cool and open to try new things which I a super impressed! That being said, I can totally feel Amy's eye roll at 12:40 HAHAHAHA don't stick it directly on your skin dear Derk--yes, we have tried LOL

My friend from Sichuan had a chain of mala hotpot restaurants and he was so proud of his spice tolerance till one day I brought him to try Thailand isaan food. He started to literally cry 😂

But German food - like Japanese food - has lots of varieties of mustard and horseradish, making it "up-your-nose" spicy, rather than the "down-your-throat" spicy like Chinese or Mexican food.

I don’t know how hot this is compared to Chipotle’s Guadijo Steak (that was a lot more spicy than I expected). Normally I would think my tolerance was mid-level or at least “medium-hot”/“two chili” Buffalo Wing. But that was way off the roof. I think the late Carl “The Cuban” Ruiz would laugh at my suffering-“because you asked for it, I would never have.”

Midway through the video, I questioned myself why I am watch two love birds eating spicy chicken wings. The funny thing is the spiciest thing I ever had was in Australia. Back in unsw days, there was a Korean restaurant at the ANZAC parade and I always had lunch there. One day I ordered chicken curry and somehow the instinct made me tell the chief "as spicy as possible". Long story short, after drinking 2 whole bottles of water, I survived and left almost most of the meal. Also, that chief made fun of me for the rest of my uni every time I went there. I won't provoke the chief ever.
