Next time you come to CrossCreek from the north, take I-15 to the California Oaks/Old Town exit in Temecula. Then, go west on Cal Oaks to De Luz Road, then another half mile to CrossCreek. It's paved all the way. Google Maps is fubar.

Here’s where my inexperience comes in.. I’ve heard the term before but what is “scrambling” exactly?

@@quaypottsit’s the ability to get par after missing the green. So it’s the “up and down”, chipping and putting. I focus on the chipping part myself cause I figure if I’m a good chipper then I can get it close. If I’m a good putter but fly the green or come up short then my putting skills don’t matter still. Just my 2 cents though. Keep up the great work it’s a journey for sure!

Get one of those score keeping apps like ‘The Grint’ or ‘18Birdies’ buy a GHIN and start recording your scores. They will calculate your handicap for you.
