The crowd reacted as Judge Rosemarie Aquilina read part of a letter that ex-USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar wrote to the court before she sentenced him to up to 175 years in prison.

That's not how a lawyer thinks. When a new lawyer passes the state Bar she takes an oath to represent her clients to the best of her ability. This has nothing to do with the client's guilt. That is the whole point; in criminal defense law, a lawyer will eventually find herself defending someone who is guilty. If she holds back on her defense, she can be sued or even disbarred from practicing law. You may hate seeing a known killer (with overwhelming evidence against him) getting an aggressive defense, but that lawyer is simply doing her job. And if you are ever wrongly charged with a crime, you'd want that lawyer you hate! Because if she can defend a guilty killer aggressively, then she will no doubt do the same for you, right?
@shanegarcia59636 жыл бұрын
Poor Finian i have lawyer friends. One told me that this guy killed someone on accident while fleeing police. They have him on camera. In a perfect world the oath will always be the mind set but come on. You have to be honest with yourself and with your client. Instead of first degree homicide with a vehicular weapon he's shooting for involuntary manslaughter

We could probably do away with half the men on Earth and we'd be better off. I feel that since we are likely nearing the end of humanity, due to climate change, that we women shouldn't have to put up with this anymore and we should just get rid of men (and the rare women) who are like this. Women should have the power since women are nurturing by nature, for the most part, while many men seem to just be evil yet come across as "nice guys." Ape man Commeth You must not know much about vaginas lol. A vagina's tightness has nothing to do with what age someone is...that's something guys who've never been with a woman think. Plus, these girls were all past puberty you weirdo, hair grows at puberty.

Lock him up and throw away the key. Heads need to roll at the university, too; for putting money above our children.

“Why didn’t you tell anyone?” needs to be executed from this topic! They are skilled predators! Judge Aquilina , you are on my Hero list. As a survivor, thank you for making it a point to expose this behavior so people can see their inability to be human. Hopefully the prisoners don’t kill him. I hope the inmates keep him alive and torture him to the point he takes his own life.

Except the only problem with that is that he's not allowed to kill himself in prison

Do you know heaven on earth. It's justice served. Every time I opt to see these, to never loose hope. Because justice is errased in many places. The criminals talk exactly expounded. Can this happen? Every time it's a reminder that there is hope for the earth.

Hi I don't feel like doing any research. Can someone explain the context of the assaults?
@dannyyboy536 жыл бұрын
Hood Right that's what happened. I'm trying to figure out if there was a misunderstanding and curious about the degree of assault.

To make a point. I don’t think it’s legal to sentence someone to life for sexual abuse that isn’t explicit rape.

175 years....There’s 160 women and girls who came forward. The actual number is likely to be twice or more than that. Even if it’s one year per one girl, it’s still not enough.
