I listened to the entire statement and have no idea what he said.

I'm going to listen to this tonight at bedtime. Should help with my problem falling to sleep.

This prosecutor gave the absolute worst opening statement I've ever heard.. Listing names, talking too fast, run on sentences etc. Omg! Its like he's trying to put the jury to sleep...

The rapidfire, yet monotone, delivery of the State's Opening Statement is very hard to follow. No one could retain all that information rattled off so dispassionately. I didn't know anything about this case before I started watching this. I still don't.

First day and already inconsistent testimony. Lally states one thing about the snow and the responding officer states something else.

I honestly don't get why a lot of people are complaining about the sound. It's clearly the prosecutors monotone voice that's the issue 😂 and count your blessings we can even watch this. The way this shady judge was being, we're lucky this is being publicly broadcast.

He’s probably setting the tone to say in closing something like, “Look, the defense has tried to tell you this elaborate, dramatic story. But I’ve simply given you the truth.” By being a bore, he can label the defense as thespians.

At least leave the camera on the person at the podium so we can watch their face like to try to hear awful audio and the camera guy turned camera on Karen away from her attorney opening statement for a long while We can see occasional pan the camera but since awful audio please leave the camera on whomever talking please?

What is this dude talking about he goes from the morning he was found back to the outing the night before then back to the morning naming all this people in crazy order, worse opening I ever heard as he never explained what the state believes happened, I’m lost already, huh!

Let me tell you what I find fascinating in this opening so far. This prosecutor had to read from his notes when giving us details about John O'Keefe.. who he was, his life, his parents, kids, even his age.. but oh look at him now.. not once is he looking down at his notes when talking about the Alberts, their connections to one another and to the case. He couldn't care any less about JO, his family or his story, this guy is so scummy. There's a reason why he lacks any sense of conviction in his delivery.. its because both at the beginning and end of the day, he doesn't really believe in his own case you see, just going through the motions like the piker that he is. Mr Lally will loose this case. The story how the towmies hunkered down while the impnding snowstorm ( a dusting) was coming. The occupants of Albert's house and invited guests went out to get drunk. The occupants of the after party decided Mr OKeefe was persona non grada. Then in the home the crime was committed Karen is innocent. Line up with blank checks for the civil damage to come she will be found NG

I don’t believe he believes in his case. He has been ordered to prosecute Read and he is going to do it. The Defense was passionate, clear. The opening Defense statements were devastating to the prosecution. The Judge had ruled the Defense could not bring in third party defense in the opening statements, but they did it any way. A sharp prosecutor would have objected, but this guy just sat there.

This feels like a guy who knows his case has holes.

i Just found this prosecutor to be very boring and with a kind of "ugh i have to make the donuts today" type attitude. I love an attorney that tells a story with conviction. Unfortunately I did not feel this guy did. Mr. Jackson did the best with that part of things.

This is one of the worst opening statements I’ve heard. I can’t even remember what he said in any of it. My ADHD and his monotone voice don’t go well together. If he’s doing the whole case I’ll just come back for the verdict.
