I remember watching us beat Spurs 0-0 on an icy New Years Day the season before. Paul Gascoigne slipped over while running (off the ball) down the right wing towards the Spion Kop, and was out for a number of weeks (broken arm I think?). It was worrying when he fell and was obviously in difficulty, as he was due to play in the England squad in Italy that summer. Does anyone else remember this, and was it his arm that got damaged (I can't see anything online)?
