Some people just don't want to spend an absurd amount of money every expansion. CGB, and everyone else, should be blaming WotC instead of the players forced to play monered.

@@professorkhepri That is true, but they're nowhere near as busted and easy to play as red. The easy-to-play metadecks should be midrange strategies that play with the board so new players actually learn something. Wizards has been killing midrange with every expansion though so that'll never happen.

This video seems like it's a little old. There was one he posted last week that noted the interaction between the blue god and virtue of persistence and in this video it seems like he's just learning about it. He mass recorded these so they're likely out of order

The intro does not have make disappear in the deck list. Often times he will record the deck in testing and make changes before he records the intro. The decklist at the beginning of the video is typically the final version before the video gets to KZfaq

28:31 - I would have just bounced the sigarda. Same effect in the end but opponent would be left with 1 less token and you wouldn’t need to replay the whale. Sure, Sigarda would have been in his hand and not top of the deck, but he didn’t have mana to replay it immediately. Sure, one card less for him…

Not only we're facing 3 year standard cycle, but the first of them created the staples of the most successful decks to this day. Collection after collection we see cards come and go to only empower or weaken the same meta decks. I've been hyping and watching new cards go to garbage for people playing the same mono red, soldiers, sheoldred piles.

I don't know what you are on about when mono red is full of WOE cards, and there's a completely new archetype in UW midrange powered by LCI cards. Standard is great rn, it's ok to take a break from it if it's not for you.

Yeah I've gotten frustrated with gix's command. It's fantastic 50% of the time, acceptable 40% of the time, and a 5 mana edict 10% of the time. It's versatile enough though that you can usually make a backup plan in case they have a bunch of 3/3s.

In the game against GW Enchantments, wouldn't it be better to mill yourself with Restless Reef rather than your opponent most of the time? They get enough value out of their graveyard that, even if your deck has fewer hits to bring back with Virtue of Persistence, it feels like it's a safer play. Might get yourself more Gumdrop poisoners or an Ojer Pakpatiq. Or just a Loch-Whale, that seems strong.

Cg you're playing this wrong without playing spell coven witches.... A 3.mana remand for its adventure side and and a 2/3 flyer that forces. Opponent to discard a card on etb the card is draft chaf but when you're remanding a spell and getting the free creature. Plus hand pressure off the rebound effect is a huge tempo. Swing especially when the card they discard is the card they just tried to cast like the last sunfall they would have recouped with.... Can be back breaking ❤

I agree but I think it’s too expensive for 3 mana. All the removal is 2 mana. You could potentially take out board wipes for it or celestus.

@@andrivek1 you're not taking into consideration that you're paying 3 mana or return the spell and get the witches bc of papatek 3 mana for an evasive creature that also acts like a recoil effect is pretty good. And when the God isn't in play you've got tempo to stall till the god is ready to roll

where did the Standard players go? they left. I left. Arena is pretty toxic even for those of us who only play for fun in un-ranked. I moved over to Explorer for more deck diversity and fun but that is being contaminated. pretty soon I'm gonna be done completely and try out my unopened box of Star Craft II
