Almost two years since being infected. I have been struggling with short term memory, and struggling sometimes with things I have learned in the pass. As a historian who shares to children and adults in the State Museum of Michigan. I also a re-enactor of early history has been life changing. 😢

I had covid first 2 weeks of December, I had to continue working since I was "working from home" and my employer doesn't give "leave" if you can work from home. I thought I was recovering fine but over the last 2 or 3 weeks or so, I have made terrible mistakes related to attention. Also I am unable to explain what is going thru my mind, I'm working in a new project and I simply cannot focus. It requires a lot of coordination and attention and I'm unable to concentrate right now. My superiors are very mad at me right now. I do not know how I'm going to be over this. 😭

Well , I am just some random guy on the internet , but I swear on my life , it effected my head. Going into my 5th week , after just mild / moderate symptom's , but my head is not right. Type of motion sickness that comes and goes. TV and driving in traffic effect me. It's like my brain can't process things to fast. This isn't all the time though , it's only part time. But even when I'm feeling good , I feel " Off "........like something isn't right.

Interesting.. I had Covid 4 weeks ago , it was mild/moderate though, last weekend I was watching TV at home, and suddenly wasn't able to read the subtitles and developed some sort of tunnel vision and felt light headed, I never had this before and started panicking, it was so bad that I asked my wife to call the emergency for the first time in my life... they made sure I didn't have a stroke or heart attack and I started feeling better.. Today, I had a similar feeling... I was texting with some friends and suddenly wasn't able to write coherently anymore... I was mixing up words, writing them, mixing English and German (I am bilingual), couldn't remember words and put together total gibberish... absolutely crazy as if i was totally drunk .. I put the phone away and it got better... I think I will see a neurologist and habe a CT done...

While I had Covid19, I was very intolerant of any emotional feelings. I could not talk to anyone very long, couldn’t even watch TV. After a month and a week, I still avoid anything that might upset me. Still don’t want to listen to music. It’s like a paranoia. I’m an extrovert normally. My husband and I are both forgetful too. What was a brain fog during the two week acute phase is now an occasional loss of short term memory. Can’t remember words or names of places. Also, we are plagued with a dogged fatigue that started as weakness and muscle pain and now, after five weeks, is not getting much better. A week ago, I slept 30 hours! We can’t go more than a few hours without taking a nap. No one has asked us about how we’re doing. Not our doctors from UCI or our local Health Department. My husband works at a nursing home and brought it home. They did not give him proper PPE.

Then look at patient that did not died, look at their brain. It looks like the patient, that survive most is the one that did not go to hospital , but treated themself!

I have had the following symptoms in chronological order. 1. The infection in April 2020 very mild, no discernible loss of smell or taste but a sore throat unlike I have ever felt (roll of quarters in throat) 2. After going back in person to school I noticed I was having trouble with my words, I never had any issues with vocabulary or people's names but I figured it was just psychosomatic. 3. Noticed slight tingling in my left foot that wouldn't go away. I was sent for an MRI to rule out MS, an sinus cavernous infiltration was found and I was diagnosed with Tolosa-Hunt Syndrome, I didn't have double vision but I had a terrible unilateral headache that lasted about a week. 4. I started to suffer from night sweats, and lack of appetite leading to 10% loss of body weight 142 down to 129 in about 3 months. I was sent to internal medicine at my local hospital and they did a battery of tests including lumbar puncture, auto antibodies, gallium scan, colonoscopy and endoscopy all negative for sarcoidosis, lymphoma, and pituitary adenoma 5. I started having major panic attacks at any time of the day I was enrolled into a day clinic for generalized anxiety disorder 6. I was downtown in my city and I began to feel disoriented (never in my life have I had any problems with orientation 7. In December of 2021 my appetite seemed to come back only to disappear along with more weight loss 8. Despite being adequately vaccinated I got infected again in February 2022 and again in July 2022 although the home test was negative in July. My doctor has all but given up on me. He simply increased my medications (Trintellex 15mg, Mertazapine 15mg). I was denied access to a clinical trial in my area dealing with Post-Covid symptoms because I didn't officially test positive for Covid back in April 2020 due to the lack of PCR tests at the time. I am taking the following for my cognitive symptom: Mindlab Pro, Lion's Mane, and Sabroxy all supposed to improve cognition. Things have improved slightly but I am no where near where I was 2.5 years ago. I am unemployed and on social assistance, living with 3 roommates in a 2 bedroom apartment. I can't go back to school because I honestly don't feel I have the cognitive skills to follow the program I had no issue with 2 years ago. I am a 44 year old male and I am in Canada.

Had severe Covid last September of last year. 2 months in my recovery, I woke up not knowing the name of the person beside me and sleeping on my bed. He just happened to be my husband of ten years. I also found it difficult to recall what I was previously doing, so what I do is stop and spend time asking myself what I am into.

From Oregon here...I and several coworkers got hit incredibly hard at the end of last November by a severe respiratory illness. I ended up with unexplained tachycardia at rest where they put me on a bunch of meds and an incredibly exacerbated brain tumor that shouldn't have been an issue until I was middle aged. It was brand new and benign, but the fact that something so small caused so many issues and such a large area of inflammation on a MRI was unusual. It's a tumor located on the sheath that encloses my optic nerve so the biggest issue is losing my eye sight in my left eye but it left me nauseous for two and a half months with 24/7 headaches. I felt hopeless since no one wanted to do anything until it got bigger but the symptoms have gotten much better leaving me to think it was because of covid more so than the tumor. I still get headaches, but I don't feel so exhausted or short tempered anymore. I quit caffeine and don't need the beta blockers anymore.... I'm ready to remove this year from my memory.

There have been reports of people experiencing similar symptoms after a covid infection and passing away months after infection due to cardiac arrest. If you still have those issues go see a cardiologist to make sure everything is okay (or as okay as it should be) with your heart. I know it's expensive in the US because of private healthcare but I would still highly suggest it.

"It should not replace your own physician's advise"... if he is still taking appointment, or will call you back, or isn't hiding in his ski cabin with his family with a year's supply of ivermectin. Summary form watching the long interview-- Who's most at risk? Old people or people with comorbidities (weight and respiratory illness). So ongoing symptoms: 1. Delirium 5:00 from brain damage 2. Blood pressure regulation 3. Respiratory regulation 4. Inflammation that's systemic-- hyper clotting in organs, see 7:00 min 5. Mini strokes 8:00 6.

I got COVID October 30 , I was put in the hospital November 2, it started with a big headache worse than my throat hurt then I got fatigue and couldn’t get up I was delirious as I was driving the police called an ambulance and I went to hospital l don’t have any memory until 10days in the hospital. I had to have help to walk. I was having trouble with very low blood pressure since I have been home I started to get a pain on the back of my head through my left eye that is very painful. My blood pressure top has normal about 87 but, it can go from 140 to 38. The worst one just started my brush is full of hair and when I take a bath the hair catcher in the drain is also full of hair. I'm walking fine now but the fatigue is hard. I have to take one thing at a time I have a deep cough with bladder leaking and shortness of breath now I am having problems with trying to say a word and it's like going then it pops up later and I am becoming dyslexic. My husband was one of them that this is just the bad flu. Now since has had it he realizes how serious this is I almost died in the hospital. I'm 72.

I finally got tested Jan.6 and shocked when it came back positive. I get out out of quarantine tomorrow. Thing is these symptoms started in back in mid November. I had a couple visiting. She's one of my best friends. She said by Thanksgiving she really noticed I was loosing it plus all I did was sleep When I was awake sometimes I'd get these terrible rages and would start yelling at my friend for no reason. I don't remember a lot from that time. I Still have major memory problems. I started getting bad pain in my legs and arms. I've lost all my strength. The fatigue was and still is really bad although not sleeping as much. I never had a headache like you but that's to be expected. I've hardly ever had a headache in my life. I used to jokingly say sometimes "if I ever get covid I'll probably be the first that doesn't get the headache". I feel bad now saying it as I now realize just how awful that symptom is for so many, like you. Truth is though I still have not had any type of headache. My dad was the same way so maybe genetic. Like you though I have very low blood pressure. Known to pass out from it if I get up too fast. Don't know if it plays any part but thought I'd tell you. I hardly remember Thanksgiving. Very few memories although not full amnesia probably until after Christmas. I still keep loosing things constantly. I find things in bizarre places still. My glasses have been missing since New Years day. Then lost the spare pair. Yesterday my mother called and said she found them laying under the chair at her place. If it was just one time you wouldn't think about it but it's constant. I'm 65 and notice some aging changes but was overall in good health. I kept active. Now I feel more like 90 with Alzheimer's.

I had long covid 11 months. The symptoms are different than covid itself. Could this have something to do with the 1000s of Satellites that went up from Elon Musk in April orbiitng the earths atmosphere? Losing hair, nausea, skin burning from inside out, metal taste in the mouth, heart and pulse fluctuations and no breath (Oxygen being effected) and many more? To me it seems more like a frequency or radiation hazard. If someone has the COVID and ist set out to these frequencis than maybe that is the reason why they get these symptoms? I had them all and kept thinking, this DOES NOT make sense!! Ist it possible to make a radiation test on these long hauler? Just my thoughts who thought she would die:(

Wow. I was really surprised by a couple of things here. The first surprise is to hear that some people leave home with masks that are so ill fitting they require regular adjustment in public. I wear perfectly fitting KN95 masks and I can't help but think adjusting a mask repeatedly in public increases your chances of exposure to covid regardless of mask usage. I didn't think that would happen commonly a year into a pandemic. The next surprise was to hear that so many people have a hard time remembering not to touch their faces in public. It seems to go hand in hand with a properly fitting mask. I personally have no problem at all whatsoever remembering NOT to touch my face in public even before the pandemic. Public is a very dirty place kids. Way back in Microbiology in college we swabbed commonly touched surfaces around the school and cultivated the organisms we lifted on the swabs. It was appalling to see all the different bacteria grow on Petrie dishes from door handles and staircase railings. That knowledge changed my life forever and I almost wish I never learned it sometimes. It really taught me how dangerous simply opening a door in public and absent-mindedly touching your face can potentially be or what not washing your hands could actually cause. All this and we weren't allowed to grow viruses obviously. No responsible program would allow that unless they are virology or infectious disease programs. What a nightmare this all is.
