Aside from the writers, Big Little Lies need to give their sound department a raise. Almost every episode has an amazing soundtrack.

I too am here from Big Little Lies like many of you but actually bought the CD in 1988 when I was 20 and it first came out. It helped me through some rough times.

My God. I just realized this album is maybe 30 years (or almost 30 years) old. It saved me when I hit the milestone of having my heart broken truly for the first time. Ahhh. Sweet stupid youth...😊☺🍷🌌

My first love introduced me to this album, I was so young and carefree... made me wonder “why listen to such depressing things?” Then I got hooked...it’s about our soul, deep mysterious and full of questions... never completely satisfied and even if we are we fear losing things/ppl that we adore

Only just watched Big Little Lies and only just heard this song. Wow!! The guitar, bass and her voice! Incredible! This song brings all the emotions. And BLL’s soundtrack is now on my playlist. Fabulous music!

Interesting to compare this to the Waylon Jennings version - both are great - Waylon is perhaps more raw and visceral, the CJs more melodic, haunting

This is the type of "cowboy" country that was originally written and sung by a man, but a lot of country females liked to sing. Most of the females, sing it better than the males, including Waylon Jennings. But, he, as a man, did it best. imho.

If you bought this on cassette in 1990 you would have been disappointed because it is recorded at such a low level that you can turn your car volume to maximum and still not hear the singers voice over your engine noise. A waste of $7.99 at Walmart.

Not a bad cover of this song, but nowhere near as good as Patti Loveless' cover of it. This is an old song. The original is best. Love Waylon Jennings.
