Yea, the main issue with this philosophy is that he has yet to identify the right head coach that can win with solid to good personnel. Every season The Cowboys overall talent level is overrated in my view. They have terrific high end talent but their mid level talent and depth is not exceptional. To win at a high level with the types of teams he keeps running out there he truly needs an "exceptional" head coach. You look at Gm John Lynch in San Francisco and he loads up on talent even though he has one of the game's best head coaches. Jason Garrett and Mike McCarthy are not what i would consider "exceptional" so they need stacked rosters. I really thought Jerry would go all out to hire Bill Belichick once he became available. That "could have" given The Cowboys an edge they currently don't have.... They have a good team, they need a great team or a team that plays great. I don't mind the philosophy but it has it's weaknesses.
