I like what I see. I like Dak too. I just hope Jerry doesn't mess this up & not keep Trey if he's not gonna resign Dak. Gotta have some continuity in the QB room with the WRs for next year or if something happens to Dak. Hoping nothing does. We got a good stable of QBs. Cooper nice too. Glad we are not rushing to sign dak this off season. lets see another year and what happens in the playoffs before giving him 60mil. Also good to have another year to evaluate lance, with pre-season and potentially a fill in starter if dak is hurt at all this year.

Lance being from a smaller school, and not playing against the best competition in College needed to be able to sit for a few yrs, like Jordan Love did in Green Bay, and learn and adjust to the NFL game. With Lance the talent is there, he was just put in a situation to fail in San Francisco, and could be Cowboys QB of future.

If you look at Lance's college film you'll already see that he would be a project, he got talent but he was raw that takes time to develop. So if you're not gonna go all in with him and take the time to develop him then leave him alone and grab somebody else. That's what the 49ers (or Kyle) fail to do with him, Kyle just wanted a QB that will fit his system and nothing more. With that being said Lance may still fail or succeed (hopefully) with the Cowboys so Lance's story isn't finished written yet in this league.

Jordan Love had over 9000 college passing yards in .3 yrs, Trey 2947. Pro Love 4765 year 3, Trey 799. You people should attempt se research before posting

Jordan Love is the perfect comp for Trey Lance. His ceiling could be higher than Jordan Love. Only time will tell. Dak lovers will have to cope in due time. The man crushes are crazy.

I'm an avid D4K fan But I was glad to see us trade for Lance and have been hoping he'd supplant Rush and consequently push D4K at minimum 😅 But realistically... How can I hate "seeing this" when Trey has failed to be even a backup since losing his job to Purdy? Competition breeds excellence when it's legitimate Rush simply isn't enough to challenge Prescott Perhaps Lance will But again... Theres absolutely NO hatin' here 😉

Trey has been working with Jeff since the '23 off-season weeks before his last training camp with the 9ers. Rumors were that Trey knew that Kyle was done with him as a project, so Trey jettison the QB coaches Kyle was sending him to and went out to seek his own QB coach, and Jeff was recommended to him. They worked fast and got his mechanics to look quite different with only a relatively few sessions. Trey played better in that camp, but Kyle already picked up Darnold that free agency period so the writing was already on the wall for Trey. Kyle steadily decreased Lance's reps in camp even though Trey was performing well/better. That's why he asked for the trade immediately after Kyle announced Darnold as QB2 *before* the third and final preseason game. My theory is that Trey knew the situation was fueled by gaslight and was a facade, and wanted no part of it....That being said, he can still be a bust, it just that he took his career into his own hands when he knew Kyle turned his back on him one final time.

by the time QBs turn pro, mechanics are minor issues. it's what happens between the ears when there's 11 determined guys to make you fail that QBs have to overcome.

Yes improper for a moment.. Prescott has flaws.. if Dallas had a strong offensive line and running game in those playoff game we could just run the damn ball down your team throat. @@RawTalk23 please stop it. Dak stats are top 10 in the NFL all time in Wining percentage , completion percentage, TD/int ratio, QB rating and he’s still getting better. All people can point out is playoffs. Do people realize in most of his playoff games he outplayed the opposing QB. Look it up. He cant control teams running for over 200 yards on us. Or teams putting up over 30 on us. Check out the records for QBs who has allowed these things. Not good at all.
