I often tend to do the exact opposite of what society does. Majority of people often tell everyone about their Wins and a lot of the time they exaggerate their wins and hide their losses. I do the exact opposite. I'll tell you about my Losses and even exaggerate them, heck ill even make up a loss lol and keep my Wins to myself. Because i learnt a long time ago that people like to see or hear about other people's struggles so i figured ill give them something to entertain thesmelves with. Also telling people about your wins oftens comes with envy, jealousy. We live in a society where people don't mind that you are doing well, so long as you are not doing better than them. So you let them think that way and keep you off the radar. And more often than not these same people that may be envious or jealous of you if they feel you are doing better than them will be a lot more caring and even helpful if they do not think you are doing better than them, but you actually are. Hide your wins and exaggerate or outright make up your losses ;)

This is the truth, but even when you don't speak, it's a problem. I had issues for being quiet. Even a 1 on 1 conversation, someone is listening and will run to management and tell what they THINK they heard.

I just started my new job in December. By nature and because of life experiences, I am 90 percent introverted. I have had people at my job tell my superiors that I am rude because I do not engage in small talk or cliquish. In my defense, they told my co-workers that I am the nicest guy in the world who keeps to himself.

Years ago, I told my coworker I was living with my parents. He made such a fuss about it, telling me how my salary is just pocket money, play money….while some friends of his have no job and can’t put food on the table for their kids… long story short…he got me fired. That was so f** up!!!!

at my current 9-5 i stay to myself i’m not rude i’m very humble (raised with manners and morals) but i’ve always been an introvert. sometimes in passing a co worker may say ‘hi, how are you’ of course i’ll respond back an keep it moving. but when i go to work i simply go there to do my job description that’s it’s, it’s no one’s business to know why i’m quiet at a professional setting like a 9-5 i’m not at nobody’s 9-5 to share my personal life with coworkers i keep my personal life outside of a 9-5 plus we’re too busy at work to be having full conversations, lol

I also gotta mention. I will never forget the day I took up an offer from a female coworker (50) who was what you call “too good to be true” character. She tried to get all friendly, talked about her history at work and her wrestling career and that she had a business. I sat there asking myself what she doing here working at a janitorial job when she had all this in the past? Even promising that she’ll teach me how to do my job more efficiently etc and talk shit about my supervisor. I took her up on her offer to give me a ride home and she did. This was before she turned on me for no apparent reason. The same lady who tried to falsify shit to the police to get me locked up on false charges. Thank God I had a lawyer so the judge drop the charges thankfully but she was a bastard snake lady. I don’t take rides from no one anymore. Especially after the snake bit be in my soul with that level of manipulation she did. She even was like “now I know where you live” type of creepy shit. Never again did I fall for that trap. Now I just take the bus to work. Saves me money and my mental health. If anyone offer me a ride. I just turn them down and order a Uber on a rainy day and take the bus the rest of the week.
