They’re so smart. My dog plays tug at different levels depending on who he’s playing with. He goes full strength and tries to rip my arm out of the socket, but is super gentle with the kids. It’s like he’s playing with them to entertain them rather than them playing with him.

Wild animals are hard to own. I got stuck with a wolf as a "Samoyed mix" in my dog rescue. Nope, full arctic wolf. Nice animal, but absolutely was not a dog. I'll never do that again.

So the coyote just comes to visit? I'd be concerned someone is going to shoot or trap the coyote. It's open season on coyotes in most all states. Also what's going to happen when the cat gets eaten by a coyote. The cat is going to think every coyote it sees is friendly?

This dude is living somewhere outback, probably has a big ole patch of gated land where his animals live somewhat free life, to willfully match each other's energies. As long as there is that "freedom" factor involved, creatures can certainly evolve out of their genetic heritage. Not only humans. It's a beautiful thing.

yes... it can be good sometimes on the micro scale, the coyote likes this place and its fun, probably gets food, but, don't get it twisted that coyote at any point can decide oops I played too hard. just like with bears getting food trained. sure the bears are going to come up to you and be cute, and look for food, but randomly they could get irritated at someone not having food or enough food, and then now, you have presumably at least one someone now scattered about the forest having experienced the fate of being eaten alive.

remember, humanity has existed on Earth for about 200k years, we have had plenty of time to figure out the animals that are able to be domesticated, and coyotes weren't one of them, we have even domesticated Wolves.

I had a tuxedo ragdoll cat, and he was exactly like a dog. Played fetch, wanted belly rubs, and understood when we talked to him. He was the best cat ever. I'd have one again any day! I miss him soooo much. RIP Merlin!!! Love u!

Coyotes are WILD animals, with a TREMENDOUS amount of their behaviors hard-wired in their DNA. Given the proper stimulus, they can revert to predatory behaviors in the blink of an eye. This looks like a game of Russian Roulette.

How do you think barn cats survive. Coyotes really dont mess with cats which are apex predators themselves unless they are sick or starving.

​@@carlcostantini7771not true where I live. Coyotes here are scary. They attack people waking their dogs. They regularly snatch little dogs and cats right out of their yards. We can't let our little pets out by themselves even in the day time. They run in packs and work together. A friendly Coyote is rare.

There used to be a lot of wooded areas here in my Redmond, WA neighborhood, but they tore most of them down to put up more suburbs. Now there are roving packs of coyotes that will snatch up anything they can. They have always killed just about every small animal in the area... always have, at least since the late 80s when I moved out here. An outdoor cat is guaranteed to be killed here. We've lost several to the coyotes. They also dug under our fence and killed our chickens. Now we have a regular family of bears going through our trash can.

Yes, coyotes get a bad reputation but when you raise a coyote when he’s a baby, with other pets in the house, they become just like your other pets, they are not mean❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ after all, they are canines. Thank you for sharing
