Early January coyote hunt with buddies Andrew and Brandon Oksendahl. 2nd set of the day and we had one up close and personal!

Love the Tikka, I have 2 of them, but lose the scope mounts it comes with and get a pair of Talleys you will thank me. Light weight, strong and look better, hold better stainless or matte finish.

Joe Mama Started the calling sequence out with the rabbit-in-distress, and after the shot took place, Andrew immediately turned on the pup-in-distress call.

+Rhaegar Targaryen My best guess is a .223 Rem. Judging by the volume of the shot. Could have also been a .25 Sharps. A rare cartridge but more stopping power than a .223.

START your calling,HIGH LOUD AND LONG, as the 'YOTEs hear it your calls need to DECREASE in URGENCY and VOLUME. When they are close try to sound A L M O S T DEAD!

I change it up depending on location. Small wood lots I sneak in at night and play the rabbit , start off quiet and get louder later into the stand

Don't listen to all these negative comments. People like that don't realize how over populated the coyotes are. I've hunted them for years and had great success. I have the exact foxpro and idk if you know this but it has a setting that when you shoot it will automatically go to the pup or coyote distress so you dont have to worry about pushing the button. just a friendly tip or reminder....great calling and shooting man

If you had any knowledge at all you would know that they are very over populated and if not managed will take out livestock, which means dumb asses like you would probably starve because you don't know how to provide food for yourself. have a great day

You can eat coyote, right? How do they taste? I'd love to get into hunting them since they are considered pests but I'd like to have more than just that reason to hunt them. Food, pelts, bones. Could probably make a decent business cleaning the skull out and selling them online or to tourists. Furs too. Cure them, comb out the rough and sell the supple and soft fur.

I have no problem that you are getting rid of these annoying animals, but I don't think it is something to brag about. When is necessary Killing animals is fine, but it is no cause for celebration. Probably you have heard of people who travel to Africa, and pay a 50K fee to shoot a lion, so they can take a trophy picture.

+transformer889 when I killed my deer I wasn't sad, I was happy, and I bragged about it. I was proud! I felt like I accomplished something and I was treated as if I did. the same with the lion story it's a challenge and if I paid all that money I would expect a picture. but what some people forget to acknowledge is that most of those "trophy" hunts in Africa the meat goes to a near village to feed them. but the remark in the video could have been way worse. it's really nothing to get mad over

The solution to the overpopulation of coyotes is not the indiscriminate hunting, it is necessary to start from the fact that, the coyotes, as it has happened with the overpopulation of other wild species is not their fault, it is the fault, as always, of us, humans, we create urbanizations and lead to breed domestic species such as cows in purely wild species, the intervention in this way in ecosystems has caused them to move or even disappear the natural prey of these animals. The consequences of this "control" (if it can be called that) of overpopulation of coyotes will reveal, in not long probably, more and more tragedies in the development of ecosystems. It seems to me the height that KZfaq allows this type of videos to be uploaded to the net!
