Cozy was thunder and lightning. RIP legend

You knew it was Cozy from the first 4 bars. You just sat back and felt the deepest groove you ever encountered. He was a right gentleman also - Cinderella was recording their 2nd album, but the tracks they cut with their new drummer didn't fit the bill according to the producer in charge. So they brought in Cozy to do the album. The band's drummer was crushed - this was to be his first album, and he told the media that it about destroyed him. Except, when asked, Cozy said he couldn't for the life of him figure out why they got him when the band's drummer did a fine job. He said he went in and played the same thing that was already recorded, copped the fills and the feel and said that Fred Coury, Cinderella's drummer that he replaced on record, could play with anybody, anywhere. Such a Class Act, and we won't see the likes of him again. Rest In Peace, Cozy. Now I'm going to go listen to some Rainbow. 🤘🏻
