My husband and I are originally from the west coast side of Newfoundland. Living on Sunshine Coast now. We found your channel a few weeks ago and are loving it. When we see you enjoying the old traditional type foods and mentioning Purity products as well we love it. Thank you for putting out excellent content and quality camera footage; we so appreciate it.

I had cancer last year, and your videos (along with a few others) helped me to make it through days that I thought I wouldn't make it. My favorite part was always when you make your fire lol... still is. I just want to say thank you so much. I was able to escape through your content. Thank you so very much ❤

Oh to be young and strong like you are! You work so hard every day, burning lots of cals. And can eat like a hard working guy. I live vicariously through the delicious "grub" you make. Hmmm. Comfort food! ❤

It is sooo beautiful where your cabin is...I just love the drone shots...all the snow covered trees ❤❤❤ are simply gorgeous. Can't wait till next time!!! Think I'll be picking up some Hamburger Helper at the grocery store this week, I'm a really good cook, but that looked so delicious...haven't had it in probably a dozen years, lol.

I get so excited when I see a new video and it is at the cabin. Especially when you talk about the things you want to do for improvements. I guess there are a lot of permits, but when I thought about it, Canada doesn't want anything that would hurt the environment, and that makes sense. Thanks for another great video.

Where I live in N.B. Jay we have always called baloney Newfoundland steak. Or in more central N.B. “Miramichi steak.” Either way I love the stuff. I see someone on here doesn’t like your new camp content and feels the need to announce their departure. To which I say “ it’s not an airport, announcing your departure is not required.” Keep on doing what makes you happy Jay and I will continue to watch.

Winter camping is always a treat to watch. It's always a good feeling to get rid of things that aren't needed. I'm thinking that would be a much easier job to do in spring, summer or fall when there's no snow to remove first in order to get to the stuff.

Carry a spare battery, to clip to your existing snow machine as a cranking boost. Also, cover your snow machine, and at night put a 110 light underneath near the oil pan, or an elect dip stick. Make sure your generator has alot of outside air flow/and exhaust. Park the snow mobile very close to the cabin. Keep your generator in the warm cabin is best.

AHHH...fried bologna! My father was full blooded Canadian and my mother lived in New Brunswick CA for over 30 years. I was born, raised, and still reside in Maine and the back story is a bit complicated, but I used to spend a good portion of my childhood summers in New Brunswick and my Mom would buy a "log" of bologna for me when I came to visit. Seeing you cut slices off that bologna and fry it in the pan brought back so many memories. Thanks for sharing your life and adventures with us. I hope you get to do all you want to do with the cabin and the government will allow you to complete your plans.

When I had a house out in the country we heated with a wood stove. Any time that I could get old skids I did the same as you did. I would cut out the 1 inch boards and split for kindling wood and burn the 2×4s in 16 inch lengths. If it was a soft wood pallet I would even split the 2×4s into kindling. Now that I live in town I miss the wood stove.
