What was it that you slathered against the tree to seal the roof? It looked like roofing tar. If it was, I can't imaging that's good for the tree

I wondered that too - but the fact they diligently applied a specialist product to aid tree healing while (inevitably) causing some shallow damage to the trunk, reassures me. The tree trunk is a MAJOR part of the tree house's support - they simply can't afford to harm/kill that tree! 😆😆😆

Driving nails directly into the wood and smearing it with tar is not acceptable. Over time the tree will weaken and decay with your architecture.

Holy! Sorry but NO WAY! Some well-intentioned advice: - Don't use earthoil products in the forest! That's poison for the tree, for the animels, for you! - Use better natural materials - Don't drill corrugated iron, or corrugated cardpoard in the bottom of the waves...the sealing washers going save leaky over time. Drill it to the top. 😉 The start of the projekt was very nice! But than you take the wrong way!

You'd better pull that ladder up into the tree with you in case someone comes along and removes your ladder. At least have a rope in the treehouse as a backup method of getting to the ground. Otherwise a long drop to the ground and broken legs.

Very small impractical tree box except for bird watching maybe. Young man might have done an apprenticeship in woodwork and construction engineering first (there are numerous basic design errors). A good attempt to be fair, but nonetheless riddled with poor workmanship and lax safety control. A perfectionists nightmare video.
