Bombet Arangote moved to Canada 22 years ago. A Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines, he left his job as a finance officer to pursue a new life abroad. In this episode, he shares how he moved from one job to the next, until landing his latest position: Vice President for Finance.

Thanks Ina! 👍👏 This is just too short and sana may subsequent episodes with Bombet and other people from the field. I can totally relate since I'm also a CPA in the Philippines who recently moved here to Canada (as an international student). I take inspiration from people like Bombet and it gives me hope that I can also succeed.

How many years did it take for him to obtain the license, and is the exam difficult? Additionally, is it necessary to study in Canada, or is there something we can do here in the Philippines to get the license? Thank you po.

In 1968 the Philippine CPA does not even Recognized in California. CPA work as Accounting Clerk or work as clerk in the US post office and postal Carrier., Forget the Philippine Education in California, Filipino Doctors until today are not recognized their Medical Education but they only allowed to be Nurse. Filipino Lawyers, Dentist and Pharmacy are not allowed to take Hawaii test. Engineers are only allowed to be a draftsmen.

ECE engineers are acknowledge as engineers in Semicon companies basta may enough experience. Like Intel, Amd, etc.

@@fidelamonera851 Dante Nieva was retired at intel .. He passed 2 Engineering Exam and License Professional Engineer since 1980
