I eliminated that option and was wondering how I got the answer wrong 🤣😐

Actually, not just the wrong laterality, but also the wrong section. The answer should be with a 4 instead of the 3. The 3's are for shoulder, and the 4's are for upper arm, and the scenario said upper arm. 24076, not 23076.

Once again thank you, because i haven't done any medical coding practice in months. I have only been working at a store and study a few medical terms here and there when I'm not just having leisure time, so without this channel i probably will never learn enough about medical coding to be ready to take the exam even though I took a college program for it 2019-2021

if the report says Upper Arm why are we looking at shoulder and not upper arm 24076 ?

i also wondered this. also why he chose the answer that meant RIGHT shoulder when it clearly said left.

I have a question on the last question. The description states upper arm but all the codes in the answers are for shoulder. Why would codes for shoulder be used instead of for upper arm?

He actually missed it, it's not tumor yet, provider not confirmed that's why he said it's appeared to be benign, in last line it's sent to pathology for biopsy. So correct answer is C. Tell me if I'm missing anything i could be wrong as well.

Quick question for the last question A 49 year old patient came to the hospital for a scheduled operation for his mass of left upper arm. I chose letter c because in letter d is show modifier RT for right side and this indicates the left side so was that a typo or would it be letter c? I know you said it would be letter d because of intramuscular but this is a little confusing because of the incorrect modifier since it was done on the left not right arm.
