if you jump with w+a/d and then let go of a/d and look forward (and repeat the process) yes you go faster

Moving or flicking the mouse just makes it so that you can strafe sideways with a+d/w+d whilst being able to see were you are going. Hope this made sense.

You don't have to slide every jump when I do my lava climb run I have a normal bhop jump then another slide jump and your flicks are to forced take it easy
