Yeah, I’m a white who grew up in NYC, I’m in my mid 40’s now. In my life I’ve dated so many different races and ethnicities, (my family’s from Ireland) One I dated a Muslim girl, who wore her burka a lot, she had it on the day I met her…in an Irish pub, she was born in Ireland, spoke with an Irish brogue, and knew a fair amount of Gaelic, but the point is, I’ve dated so many different and it never even once dawned on me to compare them by race.

I was never abused, I had a loving family, it’s killing me that I don’t know WHY I’m the only addict in my family. I’ve done so much research on both sides and I keep coming up with NOTHING! I don’t have mental health issues, -per se- I have anxiety, but that’s it. I just liked getting high. I’ve been on Suboxone for 14 years. Best of luck to those still struggling! I am completely fascinated by Anthony. He has a gentle spirit, a kind face, nice smile and just wow - a 57ish Asian man who speaks like my 90 year old black grandpa from Kentucky. 100% True... speaking as a "younger" single black woman, if I met Anthony at work or through a friend (he was sober and had invested in a productive life) it would be an instant crush for me! Man, you can see this man is in so much pain. When he’s talking about his childhood, meeting his mom and finding out he has sisters - he’s so enthusiastic and animated. Anytime Mark asked a question that brought him back to the present, he immediately shut down. The drugs will have you praying for a better place. Resting in peace sounds better than active addiction. Great interview. However, Marc saying that being Asian, he could have had a more conservative upbringing with straight A’s, but instead he got the “African American upbringing” which is more fun and more focused on enjoyment is not right. These are stereotypes. And it sounded like the implication was that he would not be a drug addict if he was raised in an Asian household. I generally love Marc’s work and I will assume Marc just didn’t fully express his thought and nuance it. I love the man’s response though. @@stevesharpe3370 I think I get your point. However it is not really a question of truth / lies. It’s a matter of awareness. Mark basically said “hey, what a bummer that you were raised by black. You’re Asian and all Asian people are smart and successful. But you got adopted into a black community and look at you now… addicted to drugs while the rest of the Asians are thriving.” Sure, it’s a generalized stereotype which are often loosely rooted in truth, but this kind of rhetoric is not something that should be perpetuated. The person who’s doing the interview is trip out about his voice. He’s bringing up the the Asian thing, thinking all Asians are supposed to smart and good citizens. Dude stop stereotyping

We need to hear more from Anthony, he has a very interesting life and seems to be a very good man, that just made bad decisions. I want to know if he ever met his sisters, or his dad? I just have to hear more of his story. Hang in there Anthony God knows your heart and can see you are a good man, move away from the drugs and find your family, I bet they would love you! Stay strong!

Oh my God, I have never been so captivated by anyone on this channel as I was by Anthony. Honestly, Anthony seems like such a good and genuine guy, and boy can he tell a story! I believe he has a career as a storyteller in his future. Now this is going to sound weird, but I could also see him as a hypnotist. I'm a hypnotherapist, and I know how to help people go into trance. Part of it is training and part of it is natural talent. I see that talent in him. Anthony, I hope you read this. I think you are awesome✨✨
