Aldi sells their own brand of puff corn. I've only ever covered the puff corn in melted white chocolate but I would imagine this is even more delicious

I don't and can't eat sugary treats like this often. I'm Diabetic and lost weight with eating low carb and carnivore. But, I love to try these type recipes from time to time to sharexm with a crowd of oyr fsmily over at my Familys at T-Day or Christmas. I tried the cinnamon red hot popcorn recently. Mine did turn out crispy & btmrihht red and most at our party loved it! I used a big nonstick wok pan on top of my stove top abd sitting on too of an iron skillet to simulate an oven, because mine has been out for a very long time. We are savingvto remodel our kitchen, and i have used a big toaster oven instead of the big oven, along side our microwave, electric skillets, crockpot etc... One Thanksgiving, i simmered our turkey with seasonings in a big stock pot, then had our BBQ going and finished it off in a smoker fashion. Civered then uncovered for the desired color. Then rested it in a cookibg bag overnight. Served it room temp the bext day at our Family T-Day and ut was a hit! Yesterday I made a small batch of bread pudding from Panetonne bread for my Mother & Dad. My Sister took sone home and later they all commented how delicious! My Husbsnd & I will eat it for breakfast with our coffee today. I admire your Familie's Sister relationship & making it work. We have issues at times and respect for different personalities is really desired and prayed about at this time! Doing a Texas 2 Step lately when we're all together! Food is my offering to try to calm the situation! Thankfully we respect our over 90 year old Parents and trying to keep the peace! 🙏

My mom made huge batches of this every Christmas to give out to everyone. It was SO good. I don't make it now because I can't stay out of it. Sweet and crunchy, but melts in your mouth.......YUM! (She always used Old Dutch puffcorn) She never baked hers, but let the mixture boil a little, then it would harden nicely. She just spread it out on parchment paper until dry, then put in ziplock bags,

Vivian, you are a great example of using what resources available with creativity. We love getting together as sisters but due to COVID it had been some time since we cooked together. To our surprise we have found that we have different cooking styles and preferences. We think an important message is that there are many ways to cook, just do what works for you.

Here in NW Iowa, we have those puffed corn. Brand name is "OLD DUTCH". I have made that caramel corn for years, and it is the absolute best.

We LOVE Chester’s butter flavor puff corn but for a very very long time I only ever see the cheddar flavor no matter where we shop.

Corn pops are in Utah made by Clover Club. I have been making this for over 25 years. The recipe was on the bag.

The recipe is on the Better Made brand of Puff Corn. Made in Detroit, Michigan. I make it at Christmas also.

I used to buy caramel puff corn, but I can't find it anymore, maybe it's a seasonal thing. Now I'll have to try this recipe.

I wonder when you heat everything up and you want to do like a Valentines Day them if you could drop a couple of red food coloring , a Christmas them one half of puff corn red , and the other half green and when cooled enough to place it in a container mix the 2 colors together and store it serve @ a party , individually packed some in a bag for your mail man , your trash man , your BFF. Just wondering what do you think about making it with food coloring added for different colors. Or what do you think about adding flavors to the corn puff? Just wondering I'm handicap and I can't stand long at all. But might be able to convenice my husband or my sister trying to make this as a snsnack for my. Pack them sandwiche zip lock baggies and put them to where I can reach them.
