It’s funny that you were surprised at being recognized as twins. Your outfits were very similar, so I can see why someone would ask you if you’re twins. Also, looking different doesn’t help either. My identical twin always has a beard, and I don’t. We also always dress different. None of that matters. We still get recognized as twins. Granted, fewer people ask you as you get older. At a certain point, I guess they’re just embarrassed to bother you. However, it still happens. As a matter of fact, it happened to us yesterday when we were at Costco.
