The city thinks ALL sex workers are victims. They think that ALL sex work is trafficking. That's part of the problem. They won't arrest SWs and won't charge them, so they operate without concern. The city thinks this is an issue with buyers, go after buyers and the demand will vanish. Hasn't really worked very well, has it? Nope, it hasn't. Further, the city isn't actually doing anything for those so-called "victims". I often walk in that area, i've stopped and asked a few SWs if anyone from the city has ever asked any of them if they needed help and they've all said no.

"I feel like I can't let my kids walk the dog in the neighborhood by themselves". As long as the kids are in the residential streets and not right on Aurora I'm sure they will be fine. And even if they do go on Aurora what are the streetwalkers going to do? The girls will ignore the kids, knowing that they are kids. If it's drugs that she fears that's not a prostitution issue but a drug issue in any major city in the US. Bottom line- if the kids are too young then don't let them walk the dog by themselves anywhere.
