When I was young we lived in a house with a fire like this. When I wasn't very well my mum used to take me downstairs and lay me next to the fire and make me warm milk. I lost my mum on the 20th of September 2016 and I'm not coping well at all. I always remember years down the line her listening to me tell my daughters to imagine being in a toasty warm log cabin with the wind howling and the snow falling and it not being able to get in. Always sorted them out. Just wish she was here to meet her great grandson

Karen Prince - Many blessings! Your Mom may not be physically here for you to see, but spirtually she may see and hear you. Able to watch over your beautiful grandson, and family. Talk to her, and ask for a sign that she is fine and still watches over you. My Dad passed in 2012. He 'sends me' dimes when I need his support... When I was small we didn't have gas and cylinder so we used stove for cooking and i used to stay beside my mom near fire and fall asleep. So burning fire always remind me of that moment with my mother. Warm and happy

I remember staying at my Mum's house for Christmas in 97, a storm knocked the power out for three days and the only way to stay warm was to go to bed. With a candle in my bedroom I read Dickens' A Christmas Carol and all I could hear were the howls and moans of the wind battering the house. I absolutely loved it.

This is so ancient , its part of being human to draw energy from a fire. And its an energy exchange, because of the input required. To obtain, haul and chop the wood, maintain the fire...to get so much back in return. Its magical. The transformation from the inanimate objects of the logs...to the dancing animation and color and sound and aroma released. And to have the magic of controlled fire in a dry, safe, sheltered spot... nothing like it on earth.

I remember sitting by the open fire in winter as a boy in the Irish countryside. It used to conjure up a magical atmosphere & created something almost spiritual. I think it’s the primitive nature of the fire, wind & rain or snow, it’s the language of the soul.

This reminds me of when I lived in the valley next to the Swiss Alps. The wind that blew down from the mountain nearly drove me mad, until it changed me and I could no longer sleep without it. What wondrous memories this brings back to me.

Karen, I know how you feel, I've lost my grandmother, my father and finally my mother passing away each year afterwards from 2014 to 2016. It's not easy living without them. But I believe they are still here looking on us from time to time. Even though we can't see them or talk to them, they are always near. I grew up around fireplaces and always love the sound of the crackling fire and the wind outside from time to time. I miss those days of hot chocolate and christmas music. This does help remember the wonderful amazing times we had, growing up. We must pass them on to future generations to never forget where we come from. Merry Christmas to you Karen and your family.

I'm thinking about driving by Tent City and feeling so grateful I have a nice, clean warm bed to sleep in and a cozy home. It's almost Christmas and I've been shopping, getting excited and getting everything just right, but I also feel that I have the ability to help at least one person who has no place to call home. It's freezing here in Oklahoma tonight and there are human beings out there freezing, some may die in this weather. I just can't imagine hearing this wind with nothing to keep me warm but one blanket "if I'm lucky" and a tent. Tonight I'm going to my bed to listen to this to help me stay asleep so I can be productive at work when my heart tells me to be more productive as a human being, but thanks for this, as I am blessed.

Here in northern Indiana we get burr cold,,,,as a child growing up our father had us a fire place and it was so peaceful to watch .At Christmas time we would always set a real tree up on the right side of it and what a glorious site it was:) Thank you and God Bless!!

I lived in northern Kouts, Indiana when in 4th n 5th grades 1965 to 67. I know about. those windy high drift blizzard days. Yes this fireplace would be perfect to come inside to after doing a few farm chores. Such simpler times as well.

I live in south Texas, we’ve only gotten snow twice in my 34 years. Naturally none of the houses have fireplaces here. Closest I’ve come to them are videos like these . But I’d love to experience the real thing . Snowy day in a log cabin up north ...that’d be nice .

I grew up in a cold place with four beautiful seasons. I now live in a place so hot it more ‘or less has only two seasons, green or brown. I hope to return home, to four seasons, to a warm fireplace and snow on the ground. Until then this lovely atmospheric video provides me a respite from my day, and a snug feeling of home.

I keep the door in my room open all the time it leads outside to a beautiful patio area. Being in SoCal it rarely gets to the freezing point. I turn this on and cover up and pretend I'm out in the snowy mountains. It doesn't take long to fall asleep with a smile on my face. Thanks!

Cozy crackling fire. Makes me want to put on my flannel jammies! Snuggle down folks. I've lived through lots of snowstorms like that. The woods around my cottage seem to creak a bit more than in this video. The ice builds up on the branches, and they can make occasional crack AMD creaking noises. but in the morning when the sun breaks at dawn, it's like living in a stunningly beautiful world of sparkling crystal lace. the light cascades through the ice built up on the tiny branches, and it's like rainbows everywhere.

Spend a year or two up north. It's a good experience. The best times, though, are after the storms. Freshly fallen snow is soft. And it's a natural muffler... If you're away from a city, out in an open field, with a few inches of fresh snow in the ground.... The only other place that has that kind of silence is an anechoic chamber... I'm talking absolute _dead _*_silence._* City folks cant handle it because the feux "solitude" stresses them out, hurts their orientation, and who knowa what else. But me? I could sit out in a field like that for hours and meditate.

Hi , listening from Memphis ,Tennesse...100 degree weather we are having here..unbearable humidity.. Dangerous heat warnings ...at the end of june... so lovely to think of arctic temps in the middle of nowhere; away from the sounds of the city & pollution ..away where there is pure , crisp air on layers of linen land; in a cabin/retreat , writing articles near the warmth of that enchanting fireplace .hanging out with my 4 large dogs ! That would be amazing!! They would love romping through the piles of snow ! Its beautiful ! Thank you!

Dear Karen, my heart goes out to you, I too love to hear these combined soothing sounds that remind me of the fireplace in our middle bedroom when I was young, isn't it absolutely wonderful? I slept in today. I so needed this rest. Before I go to sleep at night, I first listen to rain sounds, then in early morning, I change over to crackling fire sounds. This is exactly the type of weather, along with the fireplace that I could really use right now. Just diagnosed with possible 3rd & 4th Cancer. Non Hodgkin's lymphoma as well as sarcoma. This is after having breast cancer & lung cancer.(never smoked a day in my life). The real kicker is this latest cancer is from the implants used after the mastectomies. Unbelievable. So yeah, I've been listening to this to help relax & sleep. Thank you Stardust Vibes, for a little piece of Heaven while I go thru hell!!

Nothing like sitting in front of a roaring fire listening to a raging snow storm outside...I lived in a bungalow with a wood burning stove right here in the Bronx, NYC. It was cold, but that fire was toasty.

Thatonedude 4877 I guess for me, when I was younger, my parents used to send me out with my brother and sister on their paper route in winter - the snow would be falling heavily and we’d be in our snowsuits, and the wind sounded exactly like this. When we got back home, the fireplace would be blazing and mom would let us drink hot chocolate by the fire. So I feel like this is so peaceful because of the memories. Each to their own, I guess
