I like your 15 minute timing. I confess I started 30 minute declutter and am slowly working my way down to 15 minutes.

I have an Ikea desk and a long glass 'mat' that I had on a bureau. I know when it gets dirty when I see cat paw prints on it. I Enjoy your videos.

Wow that is brave to goodwill those stampin up inks but you have so many so I am sure you were happy to regain the space.

This was awesome! And talk about time Waite just this morning as I was unpacking my glue bottle I was noticing the rust and getting frustrated and thought why don’t they make stainless steel pins but I’m thinking now that you’ve said what you said that they do! Yeah! My short term solution with the dip the pin, and Vaseline before plugging the glue bottle back up. Hehe. I think doing a 15 minute timer is an awesome idea about how to tackle things when everything seems overwhelming.

It took me a long time to realize that today’s solution may not work tomorrow - collections, taste, and available space change… It’s an ever-evolving process. I also had to learn my personal organizing style. Tried many great ideas I’d seen on Pinterest or KZfaq, only to find that they didn’t work for me. About a desk mat - mine is a length of glass that used to protect the top of a bureau. Atop that I generally work on a stack of inexpensive copy paper or restaurant style paper placemats, and at the side I have a gridded silicone mat from Diamond Press. The glass is easy to clean, the paper is disposable, and adhesive goobers are easily removed from the silicone.
