Hello Cricuters,
If you are new to owning a Cricut and to using Cricut Design Space, this tutorial will help you get to know Cricut Design Space for Beginners and the Top 10 Things You Should Know and be able to do. Follow along as I show you 10 features within Cricut Design Space that will take your crafting to the next level. This list of 10 is not in any specific order; but each item will definitely be helpful to all Cricut Beginners!
I wish I had known all of these things when I purchased my Cricut Explore Air 2 in the fall of 2020. I didn't know then, but I want to make sure to tell everyone about these 10 things that all Beginners should know about Cricut Design Space!

Hi Delonda, thank you so much for this tutorial. I did not know I had some of this things I can do with my Cricut Maker. This is so awesome. I don't see the one about centering. I always have a problem with centering my images. Never the less, this is wonderful and thank you. You are the BEST TEACHER and as you say I LOVE IT!!!

Great tutorial for DS. Since seeing this the first time I have used multiple copies,love doing layers from panel had no idea before this video the first time, arranging layers, changing colors I just used this week. Haven’t tried picture as pattern yet.

I learned how to slice, flatten and use a shape as a templet. Thank you Delonda I’m so happy I couldn’t sleep one night from a Lupus flare and came on KZfaq did a search and this lady in a Huston Rockets Bennie popped up and I had to see what she was talking about and from there on out I’ve been learning how to use my Cricut Explore Air 2 and create, create and create.

I needed this video. I had no clue how to change the mat color or how to upload a photo as a pattern. I knew there is a pattern function but decided that would be one thing I would not know how to use. Had an idea how to color sync but definitely got a better idea of how to use this function. a tutorial dedicated to the pattern function would be great. Thanks for all of your patience🌹

Well since I have limited experience with Design Space you just blew my mind I like how you can change the background to wear like you could maybe match like a shirt that you’re trying to get whatever design get a closer idea as to how it would look that looks cool and then how you can do the images and to make it a pattern it’s just all awesome I learned a lot

I learned that you can change the color of the canvas....missed that the first time! Don't know that I would, but it's still good to know! And that we can make multi-images backgrounds. That's really cool, I'm going to try it with a Tig baby picture! ;)

I watched your channel for awhile. Totally enjoyed it! I received a Cricut last Christmas. I purchased vinyl, and things like that just to do basic stuff. I went out and got a mug press. Thought that was nice. Both machines sit. I tried going back to figure the Cricut out, with no luck. I cannot find any instructions for the thing either. I’m ready to sell it.

I have never used pattern fill!! I have rewound and watched your description twice - if there a full video on it I’ll search right after this video is complete?!? I learned it looks interesting to me but I’m not sure what it’s best use is…. I liked the edit function when you made the picture be a bunch of them all on one sheet!!

Hey there, the short answer is it depends. Size, material, cut, all have to be factored in. For medium shirts, I suggest starting between 9.5 to 10 inches wide. If you are using a Cricut, try using the t-shirt template and placing your design on top to see the size options that work best for your needs 😊
