So far the Ktool looks like my best choice, I do like flex/non flex but the skips would ruin it also alot of times the double flex means less wrenches added to my clutter work cart.

Good morning Jeff, ever since Sears sold craftsman off there tools to me have been a BIG disappointment. I have been checking them from Time to time when I go to Lowe's or Ace, & watching reviews but nothing has stood out to me until now. The 6 point box and seeing this review changes my mind at least on this. Seem like I know what I'm asking for Xmas now, thanks jeff 😊

I got to say I am in agreement with you, those look like exactly what I've been looking for, except for the skips. It's really too bad they don't sell a 10 or 12 piece set that is no skip, 8 to 19 mm would be just about right. But I've been noticing, everybody hates the skips. Too bad Stanley Black & Decker doesn't seem to be paying attention 11:35

Great looking set of wrenches. Stanley Black and Decker is really making an effort with the V series. I prefer a thicker beam on my wrenches similar to the old Mac beams. The six point box is great for breaking loose stubborn fasteners protecting the ratcheting mechanism from abuse. My major gripe with the V series is the skips in their sets. 15, 16, and 18 are sizes that I encounter. In the past you could walk into most any Sears store and buy individual wrenches to fill in a set or buy just the sizes you need. I'm not a fan of the current "set only" trend that seems to be popular amongst consumer grade tools. Hopefully SB&D and Harbor Freight will improve the ability to purchase individual tools. I'm not opposed to having to order the tools via the mail. I realize that floor space is at a minimum and theft of individual tools from stores is a problem.

It makes me happy to see good quality tools being sold under the Craftsman name but it is a shame that they still skip sizes on metric sets. Thanks for sharing Jeff!

Those are really nice wrenches. I can't believe how bad SBD screwed up the launch of the new Craftsman V series. It's almost like the tools don't get a chance to be sold. SBD probably got a better manufacturing price point by omitting the 15, 16, & 18 mm sizes as much of the world doesn't use those sizes. I really wish the set had a 15 & 18 though. Great wrenches, nicely finished. comfortable edges. Thanks for sharing!!!

I would have a set of these but the SKIPS are the deal breaker. Hope they release a full set soon. I love my Tekton 6 point double box flex XLong set and the Mountain Wrench set. Use them all the time. More than I thought I would!

I hate to say i wrote craftsman off for a while but there v series of tool are killing it. The v series of wrenches they came out with 2 years ago are very similar to mac's precision torque wrenches just a little Shorter and thinner and there overdrive wrenches are very similar to to mac's rbrt wrenches and i might actually pick them up .I dont have any 6 point box end wrenches .Its just hard nowadays to justify picking up wrenches when the ones i have have been working great ..I will say if this set of ratchet wrenches would have came with the 15 mm and 18mm .I probably would have to really give this set a good look .I am waiting to see what tekton come out with this November for there ratcheting wrenches before i purchase any more tools .I am really enjoying how your doing your series of videos its probably the most useful videos out there comparing tools ..

The tone set looks really nice also. They would be a home run since the ratchet side has the zero degree offset and a directional switch and the fixed box is six point and has a zero degree offset as well. But it’s more expensive with only 4 sizes which makes it a little less appealing. if I was to get one I would go with this draftsman set and get an icon double flex pair with them. Right now I only have 4 wrench sets a six point Mac flex head set, a craftsman ratcheting 12 point set, a 15 piece set of hart non ratcheting wrenches and the 5 piece 12 point flex head hart set. But I have my eye on the new craftsman 6 point overdrive 11 piece set and these or at least the double flex head box icon set. Also wouldn’t mind the $63 duratech xl ratcheting wrench set. It skips a few sizes but does come with a 22mm which would pair nicely with the Astro Nano 1/2” Impact sockets for a super low profile socket. I’ve seen some techs use and abuse that set and they have nothing but good things to say about the price and functionality. And great star does make decent Taiwanese tools.

I am not sure if you remembered or not but most of my tools are Craftsman but I have turned to icon on some tools so now you have me on the edge of my seat.

I wanted these just because they were long and that 6pt but was hoping they would drop in price.

Jeff, If I ever got to design a set of these wrenches, I think I would do three changes 1) Sizes 14mm and down would be 6 point and 15mm and up would be 12 point on the fixed end. Still 12 point on the ratcheting end. 2) I would make the fixed end or the non-ratcheting end also FLEX. to get into hard to reach areas. 3) I would make it a total of 12 pieces, but put 6 pieces in set A (8mm to 13mm) and set B 6 pieces (14mm to 19mm). By the way, I ordered of Ebay the 11pc Craftsman Overdrive wrench set in metric $52 all in (shipping and taxes)
