OMFG YES GIRL! I'm from Rouyn-Noranda, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, QC CAN ! It's pretty far from Montréal, even Montrealers don't even know where Abitibi is, in general! When I hear stories like this one, it gives me hope that eventhough i'm from a really small town in WAY UP northend canada, we can still acheive our goals ! Tu es une inspiration pour tous les Abitibien(nes)! xoxo

The big majority of French Canadians 🇨🇦 are from the province of Quebec (French population outside Quebec are a minority). By the way, Abitibi is part of Quebec and the mayor of Montreal is from Abitibi

In this case, I’m with the Americans. It’s the same with Italian Americans and Italian-speaking Americans isn’t it? The first one speaks of cultural heritage. And I checked you can’t just say Québécois because some of them originate from New Brunswick etc.

Poor you, your mama didn't sent you to school buddy? Cause you know, if you would have go to school you wouldn't write non sense comment like that. I suggest you go back to school or educate yourself on Canada history. You have so much to learn. i got some fun facts for you: the term Canadian was first used to refer to french inhabitant of north america, mostly what is todays Quebec territory. Canada was named by french colon, maple syrup was discovered by french colon, most of Canada's cultural aspects come from french colon, or should i say, the real canadians.

Canada does not have French Canadians, just a bunch of faux french as France calls them, in Canada you are never defined by the language. The french are not a specific race, if that was the case what would I be, since I am a quad-lingual white European, would that make me a Dutch, Spanish, German, English Canadian and yet 200 years ago when my family came to Canada it was not from one of those four countries.
@MrSteelermania4 жыл бұрын
I'll have what you're smoking. Its pretty obvious, French Canadians are the cultural group including original French speaking settlers that maintained their individual culture since the late 1500s...Canada has been divided by "French and English Canadians" since its origins. It is much more than just the language they speak but also the political and historical implications of the division through Canada's history (French vs British war, upper and lower Canada, Quebec secession)...to say it doesn't exist is asinine. You can argue about semantics but descendents of French settlers are French Canadians. They are as "french" as "African Americans" are "African"
