I'm a black women and when I heard this song, I feel in love. Because one day when all believers in Christ get to heaven, on the Lord's day we will all worship God together. Just like there is a day set aside for him, there will be a day like that in heaven. Don't get me wrong, everyday will be a glorious day, but he wants us to enjoy each other as well. There will be a time for worship and the a time for family and friends. Can't wait until that day, when we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing it will be.

When my Mom died, I took a bit of time to reflect on her life and loosing her after a long bout of dementia. How I all of a sudden had a lot of time on my hands with little to no purpose. This song really grounded me in a time of personal rebuilding after a heavy loss. This song centers you on simplicity and what's important. I can confirm she has helped me more on the other side than she could on this side of the vale.

Craig Morgan is a badass.. From what I understand, he spent 10 years in the Army, doing time with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions. Then, in 2011, he saved two children from a burning house, then helped with fighting the blaze. If all of this is true, then ya, he isn't your average country artist, that's for sure lol. I have a ton of respect for this guy..

The part where ms betty sings off key gets me everytime. Some people might get annoyed or complain or sit somewhere else next time. But he just loves it and her even tho they are'nt related by blood. When I was a kid I loved all the family gathering at my grandma's on Sunday afternoons, and having cold watermelon or home made ice cream in her front yard - and playing with my cousins all afternoon/evening. I loved watching Grizzly Adams with my dad on Sunday evenings - if it was cold outside/winter. This was one of the few shows we often watched together. Sometimes I loved the Sunday lunches my mom would cook if company was coming over after church. I love this song because it brings back memories of how "Sundays" felt for me growing up and now those times are gone - at least for me.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of his son. I hope that he can find healing in his faith. My uncle also died in a boating accident. It was tragic and sudden, and it took a week to find body. I've not lost a grown child (and hope I never will) but I have lost two in the womb. The pain is indescribable and I cannot imagine what Craig is going through.

I remember Sundays, as a kid. Wake up at the butt crack of dawn. Go to church. Go home. Watch the start of the Winston Cup race. Fall asleep. Wake up for my Mama's delicious dinner, in a couple hours. Watch KOTH for two episodes. The Simpsons was next. Futurama usually wrapped it up, for us kids. We then went to sleep and waited for next Sunday. I'll never forget what Sundays are. Even as I was married Sundays have always been a sacred day, unlike any other. A day of peace and content. A day to appreciate everything. That's what I love about Sunday.

This is the first time I've heard this song all the way through. Honestly, as a southern, single, handicapped and church-going child of GOD, I'd have to say that's Sunday to a "T" for me. Except the parts about playing football and the married couple stuff (e.g. kissing and holding hands on the swing.) Other than that, it's exactly like my kind of Sunday. I used to be a big fan of country-western music. Over the years,though, it just seemed like different singers kept on "Pushing the filth envelope" further and further. I haven't listened to C.W. music in years, except just in passing (e.g. in the store or on television.) Which is how I even heard of THIS song in the first place, lol! If you like this song, I suggest you look up "Keep Your Lure in the Water" by Randy Travis. That's a GREAT song, too!

the song was released the year my father was diagnosed with melanoma cancer, from the day it was released, he always had me listen to it. just now, while I'm typing this, I realized why he had me listen to it. my father died on 9/11/11 (not pearl harbor) which was on a Sunday and the same date many people would be praying for those who lost their life.

I love this song and this video. It's so simple, but it says so much, Listening in 2020 on Saturday night, waiting for a Hallelujah good time on Sunday if it be the Lord's will. Someone commented that when he sings about new believers getting baptized, they get goosebumps. I do too. That's my favorite part of the song.
