@TraceAdkinsofficial-dv5ez In the past, my father, who served in the army and worked with the American soldiers, had many close friends, who according to him (my father) were real and authentic Americans, they were cowboys, and my father respected them a lot. Country music cassettes were often played in our house since old times. We were and still are lovers of country music. Love the noble culture of authentic Americans. Now when we go to the mountains with my father for mountain climbing and on the way we listen to country music, he tells us about sweet memories of his old friends to us and our companions. Maybe it is not true to say it, but my father keeps saying that the cowboys turned the real America into the American that we all know. Not the ambitious and opportunists that we see today and they know America as their own. I am almost 46 years old and I fell in love with your music in my youth, I lived and became sad and even happy many times. I apologize for explaining and writing a lot. PS: My father is 75 years old.

Great song. I played bass/guitar and sang lead vocals in the bars for over 20 years. I've looked up to, and been influenced by many artists (Hank Jr, Merle, Toby, Travis, Waylon, Garth, so on and so forth). I say that, to say this.... Craig Morgan is ABSOLUTELY one of the BEST of all time. I think he is one of the most under rated artists out there. Everything he does comes straight from the heart... he's an extraordinary song writer and has one of the greatest voices ever. The man has more talent in his pinky finger than most of today's artists put together. YOU GO CRAIG!

Trace,I have always loved your music and your voice is unbelievable. It is because you, we knew we could trust the Wounded Warrior project. We have donated monthly for years, it is not much but we know every bit helps and we are so proud, thankful and grateful to be a part of such a special group! Craig, love your voice, the things you sing about and how much I relate to them. I miss the America I grew up in. But the song you sang after the loss of your son, I felt like you sang it for me. We had just lost our only son. Ten years before, we lost our beautiful, funny and so precious youngest daughter. She was only 28 years old and had been a daddy’s girl from the day she was born! You never get over losing your child but with the Lord by your side, you get through it. I will see our daughter and son one day and we will never be separated again. We really did not “lose” our children, we know exactly where they are! Thank you Craig for singing a song, while your heart was in a million pieces. You will never know how many people were deeply touched and how it made them feel not so alone. You two men have come together and brought us a powerful song that proudly represents so many of us! My father did two tours in Viet Nam 64-65 then again 67-68 served 101st, 187th Inf/ 173rd Bravo Bulls...we (kids) would ask him what it was like to kill. He simply stated, "It was gonna me or him and it wasn't gonna be me." He passed at 88 yrs. in his recliner 2020... Airborne Ole Man.

I just now saw that you are coming to Gainesville GA!!!!!!! May 31st!!!!! I'll be seeing you that night! I hope you sing The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost on that night. I know it is hard for you to sing but it means so much to me. When I heard you sing that song on the Kelly Clarkson Show - I just cried and cried. My son, Spc Matthew W Ward, died too. I am a Gold Star Mom. And your song just grabbed my heart and I understand every word you sang to the very core of my heart. That first year....after he died....I felt like I had huge blocks of concrete for feet and thought I was doing a great job just getting up out of bed to put one foot in front of the other. I love all of your patriotic songs - they all have special meanings. This one though....wow! I hope you see this message! And I can't wait to see your concert!!!!

i met Craig in Iraq, 2010. He came to Kirkuk and did a concert. Craig, if you're reading this, remember your guitar strap being to tight, and asking if anyone had 90mph tape, and making a guitar strap from it? An amazing concert, and thank you for signing my hat and taking a picture afterwards.
