tbh, Jared was smart and remained 100% silent with maybe a few blurbs on twitter until the time was right to break it. He didn't say explicitly, but I'm sure he spent that period getting with lawyers and law enforcement to clear the legal air, as it were. He was already needing a lawyer for his divorce, so it makes sense for him to do this too.

I feel incredibly sorry for Jared because even thou he did some questionable things (like the Sailor Moon nudes. I know, nothing was illegal, but it’s still weird) he still always seemed like just one of the nicest and hardest working people on KZfaq. And even thou the 2019 debacle was devastating to him, he was a Martyr of some sorts for other KZfaqrs. Specifically because of how Heidi twisted things against him and all, Jared is the first one to show that even thou it seemed like all the evidence is against you, that the rule of „innocent until proven guilty“ should stick to the end. Like when Pyrocinical got in a debacle too, people immediately thought: „we‘ll wait before judging because it could happen like it did with ProJared“

It was a standard r/relationship story where one spouse wants to open the marriage the other spouse agrees after begging and finds a new love so the initial spouse gets angry and wants to close the marriage. It ended up breaking up 2 marriages. They all did it to each other. False accusations, lies, and lots of defamation of "character" happened. The internet joined with the more attractive spouse and dogpiled on the other until they released a video proving the other spouse wrong.

The one thing that I remember after Jared “Left” SA, on Hardnews, he said that he’s leaving to pursue his own content and there’s no drama between them. Now watching Craig’s reacting to the video and telling us what really happened, it all make sense why he was fired.

Craig at 26:24 "He had his little clique that he had, he hung out mostly with Lauren and Sean throughout the day." Which is it, Craig? Also of note, Sam (@screwattacksam), Chad (@ChadJamesRT), Destin (@DestinLegarie), and Sean (@SeanHinz) all currently follow Jared on Twitter, with all of them but Sean being a mutual follow. I've seen a few of them pop up in his Twitch community a few times, too. In this video alone, Craig needlessly slammed "theater kids," patted himself on the back for _allowing_ Jared to plug his KZfaq and socials on his final Hard News, and started chowing down on a big ol bucket of 15 year old sour grapes (raisins at this point) because Jared _dared_ to publicly complain about having to go to painful meetings about generating more page clicks, not because it was untrue, but because it was, and Craig didn't like people knowing that they had boring meetings where creatives have little to contribute but needed to attend anyway. And it follows with kids today as of today they bash shows THEY despise like Teen Titans Go, Uncle Grandpa and Unikitty. You even said that on that kid who was saying this on “Are video games no longer fun.” Kids who are at the age where they have to discover they’re not kids anymore and that those shows don’t appeal to them anymore. Iv been listening to the sidescrollers podcasts since razorfist guest started, I work at a game store and Projared stopped in here and we whispered to our selves noting if that was him. I'm not fromillar with his videos, but now I'm going down the rabbit hole. Interesting he has history with side scrollers. Didn't know you had a lot of history online.

Second comment and I'd like to say that wow I had no idea that Pro Jared was so difficult to work with and actually I didn't even know he was on screw attack. I remember seeing hard news but I never saw it when he was there. I saw it hosted by somebody else. I don't remember his name he was blonde long hair. If I remember correctly I heard that he actually voiced boomstick on the death battle series.

Craig, man. watching this was such a strange experience. I watched you guys in the years leading up to Jared's termination and hell, I was friends with Jared on the said social media you mentioned (it was a personal Facebook account that he'd use to add fans and g1s) he'd just post some of the most petty things on there. I remember he had to review Star Wars The Old Republic and he was constantly posting status updates about how the worst thing he's ever had to analyze in his life. And yeah, he was doing those game reviews around then, I remember even thinking his content was something else. And I won't lie, Jared's work on his own channel and hosting Hard News did have an affect on me when I was a teenager. Probably because of thinking I did have relatability to him back then. With yup, being a theatre kid lmao. I even made a spoof of Hard News that I submitted to you back when I was a stupid kid hoping I could host a news show. It was simpler times back then for me. My channel URL is the only part of my old videos I have left I think. Jared did a few times though, come across as a bit of a dick. I remember I got to speak to him on this show he had called "Pro Live" or something like that. He just done a radio podcast discussion with some of his viewers. A lot of the old g1s joined, myself (InterestingCathal), Revulsive and I think(?) Woodyman but I could be wrong on that. And I remember one time he just got a bit narky at a guy for mentioning his work on ScrewAttack. And I remember that just upsetting me so much at the time, because I was a dumb 15 year old thinking that Jared's comedic timing on Hard News was just perfect and that he had such a magnificent wit about him on-camera and was really hoping that maybe one day, I could impress him with my news show if I got somewhere with it (it was basically a non-gaming Hard News). But the moment he done that I just felt like all that work I done to try and express my shitty video just went down the toilet. I felt like I saw a bit of his off-camera side come out that time. And hell before that I even exchanged fan mail with him before all of the sudden he got passive-aggressive at me when he found out I do performance. I honestly found it so odd back then and was really questioning if I done something to offend him. I do want to point out though that I know Jared never meant to upset me, but I was young and when you're raised in doing theatre you have a tendency to take things a little too personally. Jared's a strange guy, I wouldn't say he's bad but I do think he's a bit self-centered and when he's in a bad mood he can only be content when everyone else around him is also in a bad mood. I kinda fell off his KZfaq career around 2014 or so since I was finding his videos were getting a little too on the trying to hard to be funny side, but I stuck with you guys until Full Screen done an execution. Glad to see that Jared managed to overcome the drama and seems to be doing well enough on KZfaq now though. Anyway thanks for this trip back to memory lane was absolutely surreal! Really, really hope that Joon makes a ScrewAttack video.

Jared is definitely a weird guy and got involved with some stuff he shouldn't have, but he makes some great content and is genuinely creative. I was actually happy to see him leave screwattack and start up his own channel, even if it wasn't really his choice. after tom and liz left screwattack, I felt it wasn't really the same and screwattack being purchased really put the final nail in the coffin as even craig had to leave. I remember listening to sidescrollers once about 15 years ago, you and tom were complaining about how the gametrailer people were just soulless corporation jerks and you guys had a hard time getting along with them because it wasn't just a job to you, but over the years thats what screwattack became sadly. Im glad that Jared is still around because he still fits the theme of the old site and I could just as easily see myself watching the new ProJared episode on the front page next to Video game vault or Captain S. Im glad you're back too Craig, I just recently found this channel and all those old memories are flooding back. I hope to see you making more content like the old days where you were free to do and say whatever you wanted to without fear of breaking a contract or something. I missed all you guys like crazy, Tom, Liz, Ben, Mickey and Jose. If you can ever manage to get a chance to collab with any of those guys, please do.

Kinda sounded like they were trying to get clarification on if it was a year or over the span of the time period provided. "I made 35k dollars the first 10 years of screw attack" could mean he made it a year or could mean he made 3.5k a year. Would that be absurd? Sure. @@SideScrollersPodcast yes it is about the firing of Jared, but i never said Jared was the heart of Screwattack, just one important part of it. It sucks to admit I didn’t work nor had any close contact with Jared I was a fan of him at some point but that’s all. It’s hard to digest the idea of a personality that you thought was one way ends up being different. It’s the fault of the viewer for generating this bonds when the creator is just making content. Truth always comes out specially with the internet.

Funny thing is, the only I disagreed with him on when it came to the sonic adventure 2 review was his praise of the chao garden. I'm a weirdo that found the chao garden extremely boring. Just not my kinda thing. Otherwise, if I recall, his views on SA2 was that it was fairly mediocre with only a few highlights which is basically my opinion on the game. The emerald hunting and most shooting levels are hot garbage, while the Sonic and Shadow levels are mostly pretty good but to few and far between to really save the game to me.

I'm not a fan of this video I didn't know much about the Projared split I think a lot was left unsaid I think it was better that way to stay professional . Another thing that came up was Craig said he never did Mario Party After Dark again. That's untrue Projared did two Mario Party After Darks after leaving Screwattack and a few at SGC As for the office not liking Jared I always thought his relationship with Nick was weird. I could always sense the tension and I would say that was more on Jared's side than Nick's. Nick always seemed to try and be cool with Jared but Jared always seemed like dick to Nick. Jared always looked like he was cool with Sam and Chad though. I don't know what the Chad relationship is like now but before Chad did a a whole stream with Jared after Jared left SA. I think Jared and Sam are still cool to this day. But overall after Jared left he did become as a big of name as Screwattack solo. I do think there is some bitterness and even envy. I also think there are issues because of he left and when he was posting on social media about the company. There might even be some issues based on his review on the AVGN game that Screwattack published. I think it would be better to same them on the same sides rather than opposites but I don't think this video would help that relationship.

I remember that time when a lot of this stuff happened. Especially when jared left screwattack. I've continued to follow various things since then. I'm sure everyone has their side of the story. But one of the things i've learned thru wisdom is, to assume people innocent first. Till all the facts come out. I don't like how at times lately, people are doing the opposite. Especially when that happens, it can ruin people who are proven to be innocent. After all the facts are out in the open.
