Crankshaft Main Seal and How to Assemble Flywheel. All JTD, Mjet, Twin Spark and other engines

Hello guys! For all Fiat group diesel and gasoline engines. JTD, MultiJet, JTDm, Twin Spark engines and more! The brand says to remove the oil pan, so if you're not confident in doing as I show, remove the oil pan too, it's not difficult at all. Be very careful in perfectly cleaning all surfaces and excellent application of a good RTV, but without exaggeration. Installing the engine flywheel can be done immediately, as well as the rest of the assembly. A little further down in the description there are videos for all this.

I think the mean reason why new seal after replacement will be leak again is that people doent clean all surfaces properly and use cheap sealants or dont use their... Another option is cheap part (main seal). In the video you tell that we need to take away the plastic Ring 24 h before the job which i don't understand why... In manual of new seal you can find that tool must be removed only anfter installation of this seal but not before. I can agree that after installation the sealant should be cured 24h bedore starting the engine and oil must not be added as well... Otherwise the sealant will be oiled and will not be adhesive with metal...

Probably to let the rubber unstretch inwards a bit, to have a tighter fit.

The new seal can have months or years in stock with the tool in. This can deform it a bit, for that a 24h re adaptation time is for the best. I've seen it myself

Again, hats off for the quality of recording. And moreover, showing how this is done without having the convenience of using a car-lift. Like most owner’s who maintain themselves probably don’t have access to. 😅

@leopoldhazelzet4796 thanks for that. I really try to show with the least tools and access possible. Like a lift. Even if some day I get a lift, for myself, I will still do the videos without it. Because I know people normally do not have it
