Oh yeah! I’m sure you’re REALLY going to lose sleep over Julie Rowe! She can’t even say YOUR last name correctly! VISIONS OF GLORY is an EVIL BOOK! My Elderly Mother checked it out of the library, and started to read it, and she felt an evil presence come over our home! She quit reading it, IMMEDIATELY, and insisted that I take it back to the library! “Our house is going to not have a good spirit, until this is OUT OF MY HOUSE!” Now I don’t remember who of her friends may have recommended this book to her, but I have my suspicions, and these two ladies are highly naive!! 🙄

What a nice surprise, Lauren, to get a notification for this late at night. You and John are so informed about this case, but also I think you just have a feeling for and understanding of the players and the events. I think so highly of both you and Dr. John, and I’m glad we’ll have you to help us through Chad’s trial. I was so interested in what Larry Woodcock said about this trial-that he doesn’t have the same anger at Chad that he did for Lori, because her trial was about justice for JJ and Tylee. He said Chad is a pathetic wimp of a man, and this trial is about Tammy, and what a man did to his wife. I realized that Larry had said exactly what I was thinking. Next, Charles Vallow, who seems to have been a really wonderful man and shouldn’t be forgotten, written off in a text message from Lori to Charles’s sons. The two of them, Chad and Lori… no words.

I didn't even hear about this case until about a year after it all started then I couldn't believe how bad it got , I realize 2020 was the pandemic and all the states involved but I can't imagine being in the thick of it like Brandon B and seeing it escalating while L.E seemed oblivious to all of it .

I’m just beginning to understand just how brave and persevering Hidden True Crime are with calling out this growing dangerous movement within the LDS community. This needs to be on cult and frankly home land security radar. These people are spiralling towards very dangerous beliefs and actions .

Yes, especially since she grew up in the LDS religion. It must be kind of awkward to talk about these recent cases involving LDS people. I live in Utah and am surrounded by them (all of my extended family on both sides are LDS too- except my parents and 1 aunt), so I see it all. Most are very nice and will go out of their way to be helpful. I do feel judgment sometimes but it may be in my head. Many of my daughter’s friends in elementary talked my daughter into getting baptized and going to church with them. I let her get baptized but she quit going to church very soon after because it made her feel uncomfortable & I definitely wasn’t going to force her. I could go on and on with stories but I won’t bore you lol

Also the Bishops who continued to promote , recommend and support Jodi , now remain silent ! Also when there is a repeat pattern of violent behavior and dangerous fringe beliefs , it is the LDS Church as an organization to publicly address and denounce this .

What's interesting is Lori's kids are happy and busy in the terrestrial world, yet she is not a suicide threat to herself. If she believed Chad, she would chose to be in the terrestrial world instead of prison. Or is she waiting for the world to end and she will be out to lead the 1044? I think the whole story is just a cover for their ruthlessness, selfishness, extreme insecurities, and entitlement. Chad and Lori are mirror images of each other and I think that is what made them dangerous.

That seems to be a factor, perhaps other / virtual games, played long ago or in formative years are factoring in. For Dr John Babe, to explore perhaps. In 2005, I joined as adjunct staff, the main behavioral outpatient clinic in the medical hub near Utah (in Colorado) and the first meeting I attended their concerns about effects of games was front and center. Your mention of DnD took me to 1992, I was 32 and working for a major University in Student Affairs, and newly single. Our holiday party was to be on Saturday and I was asked to go out beforehand and then attend the party as a date, by a 30ish man also working in student affairs. He brought up how I should have a DnD character and I was unfamiliar with DnD so he explained it. I'm not at all into reading that genre, movies of that genre, games of that genre. I barely enjoyed Renaissance Festival. Halloween costumes off put me, and so on. So I was not encouraging this guy. Yet he went off for the entire time at the Cafe about the character he was making up.for me to play in a future I was not the least bit interested in being with him. I'd not thought of that in a long, long time.

What I find rather interesting is that most near death experiences you hear about on the internet are all about loving, kindness, forgiveness, and how everything in the universe is interconnected. Then you have these LDS so-called near death experiences that are all about exclusion, exclusivity, violence and terrorizing folks who don’t subscribe to their views.

Mike Stroud was my seminary teacher in 1972-73. He was very good friends with my dad, took us on survival hikes and taught us many many great things,I loved him, but even then he was reprimanded for teaching things that were not considered doctrine. I find it very sad that he ended up like he has.
