The final run of the sidecar teams in Altrip on Corpus Christi, 06/08/2023.
Very tough and exciting race, which unfortunately had to be stopped shortly before the end of the third lap due to a collision between the Venus/Eibl and Schramm/Löffler teams.
The teams fell because the toothed belt of Schramm/Löffler in the lead broke and the team immediately slowed down as a result. As you can see, Venus didn't have a chance to react at all.
Already at the start, the San Millan/Zapf team lost the co-driver.
Fortunately, none of those involved were seriously injured. Markus Venus broke his ankle several times, co-driver Markus Eibl broke his middle hand and suspected an ankle injury. Nadin Löffler suffered bruises all over his body and a ligament strain in his left shoulder. I wish everyone a speedy recovery!
