Agreed i watched National geographic all the time in the late 80s early 90s..I'm not so sure about some of their programming now though.Seems like their trying to insulate people from the real brutality of nature..

You know I just watched the show, tasmania ep..love gorden show casing different food and culture love it.. but one thing kinda stick out to me was not one native aborigine in sight why is that.. I see lots of gates wonder who you trying to keep out.. they keep saying the natives uses this and that, but would of love see one native.. at least the NZ ep.. had little bit of all culture and native people..

Grew up as a kid (I'm 63 now) catching and eating crays (and Abalone) at the beach in Western Australia..., many many years before they became popular restuarant items..., in fact we use to buy a cray tail to use as bait to catch Herring (Tommy rough in the eastern states) Catch one for lunch, light a fire on the beach, throw the cray into some sea water...., yummm.

Very true, Anthony was one of kind very honest, and thoughtful when he explained a culture's and there true histories, the good, the bad even the dark history.. real culture education everytime I watch his show.. He even tries to speak the languages...

Crayfish are found in freshwater, lobster in salt. Although they keep referring to it as a crayfish it’s really a lobster

My God… I used to catch crayfish in a lake in Germany when I was a kid and keep them as pets. They were tiny, maybe 20cm max. I can’t believe how big these guys are! Look delicious too 🤤

yes, rock lobsters are commonly referred to as crayfish in Australia. The Western, Eastern, Southern and Tropical rock lobsters all look more or less the same as this (with varying colours) but all are devoid of front claws, and all are commonly referred to as 'crayfish' even though they're technically not.

That’s no crawfish living in southeast Texas 19 miles from the LA border crawfish do not get that size. That’s just a lobster.

@@kevinbaboolal4225 and in Australia they are called crayfish, its not hard to understand that in different places there are different names for things. closest thing to crawfish in Australia are Yabbies or Marron
