is the turbo un the civic a ball bearing turbo? cause it seemed to me it's got turbo lag and bb turbos have less lag.

500rpm less tops, BB shows its true stuff in between shifts and with its transient response and not so much from just rolling into the throttle.

i have to admit that EG is FAAAAASSSST,but that supra has to be BPU at least..a big Single turbo supra,also depending on the size of the turbo of course,should be able to take it on the top end,but then again,power to weight ratio..and supras aint light,i should know,i own 1

Although i am on the Hondas side because i own one and have a turbo B18C1 in my ek hatch. BUT Supra....has much more possibilities then a honda ever will performance wise. Dont get me wrong im ALL FOR Hondas. huge fan. but the 2JZ-GTE engine you can do SO much more with.

This is true. it didnt have enough power to spin. it was a BPU Supra at most. meaning 450whp at the top. plus the weight of the car and 2 passengers. thats seriously. around 3600-3900 pounds. compared to a civic with one person at a bout 2200-2400. power/weight wins this race and every race.

@rodgazinya do you mean similar power to weight cuz I've raced supras that double my hp with my civic and still beat them and fyi I'm not talking down the supra cuz it's my favorite car just saying the supra weighs almost twice as much as a civic and the drivetrain loss is bigger so it's hard to find an even match I just watch for the hooked up auto supras cuz by me they usually run 900hp+ daily driven and you would never notice when it pulls up next to you

@DavidRGuti this comment was 2 years ago. let's take a look at the 2011 mustangs. hell the v6 model runs 13's now, and a proper driver can dip into the 12's in the gt. not to mention, it in fact WILL go around a corner now. apparently the ford engineers are listening dude, they didn't like how everyone bashed and one up'ed them. they went back to the basics and changed what made a ford a ford, and in the process made a world beating sports car. great story lol

@REWej8 if you want when my parts come in so I can put my head back together I can post a vid of what a sohc turbo can do on low boost let's just say it's faster and makes more power then my old type r turbo and it's using the same turbo with only 2 more psi ;-)

yea bisimotos fastest n/a fwd single cam uses a f22 base, but his new project car is a wagovan with a 1.6l sohc making 750 whp, do your research before you try to argue, the engine has a coil on plug aem ignition, a garrett gt40r turbo, nasty aggressive cam, and a fully built head and block. why dont you look it up for yourself cause if you would have already, you would be agreeing with me instead of doubting it

@Chizel666 not 100% true, supras are rediculous cars no doubt, but hondas have come up in a big way and the automotive aftermarket is backing hondas alot more now, shit look at bisimoto, he has the worlds fastest n/a fwd single cam honda, he also made a 750 whp turbo single cam. but supras have had the back bone of aftermarket for way longer
