The Asia element is what threw the two off. "Middle East" and "Persian Gulf" aren't superficial associations to the former.
@JohnSmith-oe5kx2 жыл бұрын
The first answer that should spring to mind is probably... Persia (Iran), which is obviously on the Persian Gulf, unless you do not think that it could also be on the Caspian Sea.

@conansredbowtie2 жыл бұрын
That was his only chance of winning knowing that the other two would probably wager it all against each other. Smart play.
@ddespair2 жыл бұрын
Well, wagering $999 is the same as gambling $1 if he thought the other two were going to stupidly wager everything. if you’re tied, wagering everything is wagering you know the answer. It’s always the smart move to hedge your bet and leave some left over. If I were them I would have wagered enough enough to leave me with $2001 left. That way, if the dummy next to me wagers it all, I win, and it would make no difference if the guy with 1k got the question right or wrong. It was more a stupid play on the tied contestants behalf than it was a smart play on the other guy’s behalf.

When we moved from Canada to Houston one of my mom’s coworkers asked her, “How was the voyage?” People in Texas rarely left their cities or counties so they had no idea where other countries were. Btw, my siblings and I were 2 grades ahead of every Texan. They wanted to promote us but due to age restrictions we were forced to stay in the age appropriate grade. That story was years ago. Now Texas education is even worse because of who’s running the state. Republicans are banning the teaching of many things because of being terrified of knowledge and an educated populace.
