I actually did receive a free pin from a cast member back in 2015. She had a zodiac pin and I traded for it. I was so excited to start a new collection. Later that evening, same cast member stopped me and gave me another zodiac pin just because she loved our conversation we had earlier that evening (something about her being from New Zealand and Im from Australia) and was excited that she helped me start a new collection. Definitely my favorite magic moment ever from a cast member!

This is such a smart idea!! Haha everyone should write down all the things guests say to them 😂 the one that would always drive me crazy at Epcot is when people would ask me how to get to “Disney World” (meaning magic kingdom) ...like umm you’re here!!

Love these questions, haha. I used to work cleaning tables at larger events, and you can't imagine how often old men asked me to dance with them. 'I'm sorry sir, I would much rather do the chicken dance with you than wash these dishes but I don't think my boss would appreciate it.'

I have a funny story! I worked DCP Hollywood Studios F&B back in 2012. I have a disability on my right arm called cerebral palsy which inhabits the use of my right arm. Because of this, I was allowed to wear a splint on my arm to be able to use it to more of an extent. Every day, I'd print out some receipt paper and keep tally of how many times people asked "what's wrong with your arm" or "what's wrong with you" and the like. Of course I'd tell them politely, but it killed me every time. I know that most of the time they meant no harm, but it gets exhausting having to say something 30-40 times per day. I work at a craft store that has a LOT of green in their branding and without fail, every single day, at least ONE PERSON will come up to me with a cartfull of floral picks and tell me they want the price for every single item. THe floral picks have prices ON THEIR TAGS. Of course I can't say that because it's rude, so I remind them where they can find the pick prices(either on the end of the tag or just above the barcode) and tell them the price as I scan them. On those days I lose my voice since I can't talk for very long.

I just got back from WDW and, going solo, I decided to make this a photo vacation, since I get photopass with my AP and my daughter and son don’t like stopping more than once or twice per Park for photos. I had stopped for pictures with Mickey and Minnie at MK and one photo (the group hug photo) came out really well. The next day, at AK Adventure Post, I showed the picture from MK to the Cast member standing next to the photographers she would ask Mickey and Minnie to post the same way. She did, but explained to them in such a way as asking them to remember me from yesterday and remembering the pose. Actually, I thought that was cute. One time that I thought that a Cast Member went overboard was when Pandora opened up and they were selling those birds that have controls for movement. They were out of them and I asked the CM when they would be receiving more in. She explained that there were a new batch of eggs that were in incubation and they would have more once they hatched. At that, I rolled my eyes and said that I would check back. You have to admire the Disney mystic.

MK(Main Street): “what time is the 3pm parade?” “Is that the wire tinker bell flies down?”(no ma’am! That’s prince Henry’s satellite cable so he can watch ESPN) “so tell me...what are the tunnels like?” “Oh...do you know the individuals name playing _____ character?” “Excuse me- I want to watch the fireworks, but I have a fast pass and dinner reservation at that time, can you tell them to push back the fireworks until _______ time?” But my all time favorites... : “where are the passholder exclusive items?” “Um excuse me, I’m a passholder- I deserve XYZ” “hi can I get a no strings?” “I want you to give me a magical moment” “I paid x amount of money and you will give me what I want” or when the store is closed and you have guest knocking saying it’ll be just a quick second that this is the only thing they’ve wanted all day and they’ve waited till an hour and a half after park close to grab it and “it’ll only take 2 seconds”

I live in Orlando (I got to UCF) and I was wondering if you ever encountered or worked alongside other students who went to UCF as a part of the DCP.

I did DCP at WDW in Fall 2015 working Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and PAC. I’m now married and have 2 kids and we go to DLR at least once a year (since my mom now lives in Anaheim). I love watching videos to reminisce. I don’t remember what reminded me of this one guest experience, but something you said did. I haven’t thought about it in years. But this guest came up to me while I was at greeter checking heights and stuff. There was a crowd of people forming to get into the stand by line because it was long and I had just had an issue explaining to a family why their child couldn’t ride the ride since they were too short. But this guest skips around the crowd to me and asks me “how do I get to Space?” Not space mountain, just space. I mean CMs and regular Disney goers cal it Space, but they know where it is. I had to explain 3 times (maybe more) that Space Mountain is in the other side of the park and how to get there. And I explained they needed to get to closer to the castle to get to Tomorrowland and they freaked out because they didn’t want to go to the castle (or Fantasyland I’m assuming).

Such as great video idea! Hard to believe some people ask those type of questions.

I was a CP in spring of 2013 and worked at DAK as custodial. My friend was on a trash run and I was helping her out since it was the last one of the day. An older gentlemen and his family came up to us and asked if there were any reptiles in the park because his son loved reptiles. I told him most of the parks reptiles were found in Rafikis planet watch but the part of the park was closed. This was when DAK closed around 5:30-6 and DAK just recently had lost the Komodo dragon. I ended up saying that there was an alligator/Crocodile? In Dinoland. He got really excited and said “ooooo dinoland!? So is there like dinosaurs in Dinoland?......”yes there’s “dinosaurs” in Dinoland and there’s a few rides over there that the kids can ride on”. He stopped me and asked us if they can see the dinosaurs. I was a little confused but told him yes you can see dinosaurs on the ride dinosaur and explained to him what the ride was about and how you travel back in time. He then asks us if the dinosaurs were real and if you could actually pet them and ride them. My friend and I tried really hard to not burst out laughing but explained to him that they were animatronics and that the ride did not allow guests to ride or pet any of the dinosaurs. We told one of our leaders who got a real good laugh about it and told us we should have said “yes the dinosaurs are real. Did you ever see Jurassic park?? We did that here in Disney! But you gotta be careful because sometimes the dinosaurs escape and eat some of the guests!”

Two Crazy Question when I work for Disney was: 1) What time is the 3:00 parade? 2) Are we in Fantasyland or Where the Belle ride? (When you at Enchanted Tales with Belle Attraction which it not a ride lol) 3)Is this the Fastpass line and this is where I get the fastpass? 4) Where is the Despicable Me minions located? Lmao 5) Do we get to go to Sea World with this Disney Annual Pass?

I am also a person that hates playing into gender-specific items. I hate it when I am shopping in the men section of a store and an employee come to me to let me know that I am in the men section. I also hate hearing parents saying but thats to boyish or girly.

When I went to Disneyland I saw a cast member with a cool pin and I really wanted it but I didn’t have any pins so I was kinda sad but I knew how training works so I knew I wouldn’t get it. My family stopped to talk to them and I complemented the pin (and probably said I was sad I didn’t have anything to trade for it) and they gave it to me! It made me feel really happy and it’s my favorite pin to this day. Naturally you should never expect that though, just wanted to share my story 😁

I think Disney likes the English accent in their stores because it seemed most of the English DCP were retail. Also if a guest said something about you going back to England, I think they were not really wanting you to leave. That’s an odd comment so maybe insecurity of some sort on their part. Who knows, maybe they or a relative didn’t make the cut themselves? EVERYONE watching this want more EMILY IN THE USA!

When it comes to boys or girls shirts... well maybe more women-men, I like wearing man T-shirts but they always have to be over size because the neck hole is so tight it makes me feel uncomfortable (probaly beause of the chest just having different shape or whatever), and women shirts tend to have bigger neck holes (probably because of the booby space) and hat's why I ask at shops if the shirt is for females or males so I know if I have to buy a HUUGE one just not to have this weird choking feeling.

You get the "remove the tag so X doesn't know how much I spent" pretty much all the time in regular retail. Also...tbh I understand the world showcase confusion LMAO especially if they know nothing about Disneyworld.

Two true stories. I never worked for Disney, but once I was standing out in front of Mexico, and people thought I worked there. About 20 people asked me which way to El Rio Del Tiempo. The second one was someone asked me where is Walt Disney World while in the Magic Kingdom.

When I was in parking at Magic it was like an hour and a half past park close and I had a guest come up to me and asked if I could retrieve his car for him like a valet. He was dead serious and expected that I do it. I had another guest ask if the parking lot trams went to Epcot. It took them way longer than what should have been necessary for them to understand the monorail goes to Epcot not the tram. I think I had to explain the differences between the monorail and the tram. Also per like 100 people 4 of them don't remember where they parked.

The question you received about the “world” show may have been about Illuminations. They may have been referring to the globe that comes out during the show but not have known the name of it. I work in retail and customers ask questions like this all the time. They don’t know the name for something so they make one up or just describe something like you can read their minds. If I can read minds I would be rich. Oh and by the way you are always welcome here in America despite how the other guest made you feel!

I wanted to tell then I'm not wearing this uniform with my name on it with the towns logo for my health. Don't worry I didn't really say that. I work at a movie theater and as you probably know we don’t play every single film released especially at my smaller sized theater, so we don’t play every indie film released and as soon as a new big blockbuster film is released we get rid of films that have been out for a long time. Guest: “Can we go see a star is born” (It’s been out for like 3 months) Me: “I’m sorry but we no longer have a Star is born” Guest: “Uhhh but your website says you do” (The guest is obviously annoyed) Me: “I’m sorry but that’s the theater 18 about 10-15 minutes down the road” Guest: “Well why don’t you have it?” Me: “Because it’s been out for a few months and we can’t keep every movie forever” Guest: “But it just came out” Me: “No, I’m sorry, but it came out 3 months ago” Guest: “Well when are you showing it again?” Me: “ I’m sorry, we won’t” (And then they just stand there as if I’m going to give them a private screening of the movie just for them all because they are explaining to me why they haven’t seen it yet in a annoyed tone.) Guest: “let me see your manager or supervisor because you obviously don’t know what you are talking about.” Me: “ma’am I am the supervisor and I have been if for a roughly a year and a half and I’m sorry but that’s just how our theater, and most theaters, operate if we wish to stay in business. Now I can direct you to the theater 18 and maybe even help you look at the times or I can find another film for you to watch at this establishment.” It usually ends with the customer pulling up their big kid pants and admitting defeat or I just get our on staff manager to take care of it. Customers can be so rude and ignorant of the world

I didn't have a stupid question, but rather a stupid thought : I was 7 years old and it was my first time on Pirates of the Caribbean. I was very school smart, but not common sense smart. I saw the fire effects in the ride and immediately figured out how they did it. Two minutes later, we got stuck at the scene where the pirates are drunk and shooting at each other and I got scared because I thought they were going to shoot me. 🤦‍♀️

I work in a travel agency and I can not even tell you how many people want to go to Disney/Universal and they just don’t even have a clue. An example: one time while quoting universal tickets I asked the customer if they planned to go to one or both parks and they said, “I want to go to the one with the castle that’s always in the commercials. You know, the blue and white one.” Sigh.

I was working Fantasyland merchandise one evening and got asked about the DCP as her son was interested so we were talking about it and then she says 'I've heard the housing for over 21s is just orgies every night' this was quite loudly in a store full of kids and I had to politely explain to her that I had never heard or experienced this in Disney Housing and she walked away :/

Couldn't you have called the store in Epcot, given them her credit card number and had them send the purse to the front of the park? When I worked in retail we would often call other stores and have them send the merchandise to the customers.

I used to work for Clinton cards, I would regularly get asked if we sold bin bags or newspapers 🤦‍♀️ one lady spent approx 60p on a bow and asked for £50 cash back..... it’s a card shop, we don’t do cash back fml!!!

Don't be too hard on these guests. It is overwhelming the first time you visit, and not everyone understands how the parks work.

Great video. When I was on my CP at Disneyland. The ones I got the most was ehen does the 7 o'clock parade start or where can I catch the Main Street Electrical parade (Totally ageing myself😁) And you just smile and say oh the 7 o'clock parade starts at 7 so find your spot at least an hour bedore. And the best place to view the parade would be around the front of Slleping beauty castle or right along Main Street. I also haad a number of guest ask me if they can go bakstage with me...ummm sure and risk losing my job...yes let me sneak you in. Or can you tell me how much money is in your cash till. Live your channel!
