I made this last night with some shish tawook. It helped me use up the plain yogurt I needed for the chicken. Usually I buy store bought naan for about 75 cents a piece, but a batch of 12 naan cost me about $1.50 (half of which I could freeze for a future dinner!)! And it is fluffier and tastier! This recipe was a game changer for me. Thank you!

G_xoxo and if u have left overs of naan.... and they become stiff... then wet them a little and cook in frying pan or whatever u have... and brush them both sides of naan with butter... they will become soft again and much more tasty than before... 😍😍😍

I've made these last night for sweet bread and pork tacos. They were AMAZING. A little bit chewy and tender. I put them together with some radishes and garlic mayo. Perfect! 😁🫓🧄🥓🥩🥬🧅🌮

I make tandoori roti at home which is a whole wheat indian bread. You can also cook it by applying water on one side of the roti and sticking it onto the pan. Invert the pan such that the dry side is directly exposed to the flame and then roast on all sides of the bread. I watched a KZfaq tutorial on how to make rotis without a traditional tandoor and this really worked! Thank you for the video, it's nice to see indian food out here! Much love to you ❤️

I made some naan last night and was thrilled with the result. However, instead of a big bowl for a cover, I used the domed lid from my Dutch oven. It has a handle and there is less danger of slippage and getting burned. I'm so glad I found your channel!

Hii Gemma being an Indian I would like to give u a suggestion: Apply butter once the naan is ready and than sprinkle cilantro and black sesame. The presence of sesame seeds would change the taste altogether and by applying butter, cilantro and sesame would stick to the naan and not fall off. Lovely video. 😍

In South Korea there's this type of naan-and-curry mix (like the way they sell brownie or cake mix in boxes) sold in supermarkets. This homemade recipe looks just as easy and simple, but another advantage is that you can experiment with it--adding other ingredients to your naan, or even accompanying it with different types of curry! Thank you so much for introducing this recipe. Lookig forward to the focaccia video too!

I made kulcha with this dough. Stuffed the balls with grated cottage cheese mixed with green chillies garlic coriander and chat masala. Rolled the stuffed balls ans deep fried them😋

Yummy is right! Just made this with leftover frozen dough from my pizza last week (also yummy). Made two 6-inch naans to fit my metal bowl and had them with my afternoon coffee. Thank you! PS... Hi Gemma, if you like naan, you will surely like our indian stuffed parathas. There r like hundreds of variations. You can make a huge series of it. But rolling stuffed Marathas is an art and takes a lot of skill. But it's a complete food in itself. And healthy too.

Even though I'm Indian I wanted to try your recipe and it was so soft and yum. It tastes like naan from afganistan

I live in Pakistan and we eat this everyday , though I'm tired of it! but it's still yummy when it comes to flavors like garlic naan , cheese nan , chicken nan , Pakistanis are master of inventing weird flavors out of nan! that's why I want you to visit

Wonderful! I will give it a try to your versatile dough recipe. I have developed my own way to cook these delicious naans. I have a set of cast iron skillets , well the medium one i put it to heat at the same time that my flat grill is heating. When i put the naan to cook I immediately covered it with the medium hot skillet. Work just like your bowl technique but since it has a handle its handy for me. Give It a try Miss Gema 👍🌷
