Yep ,and germans tried to destroy them. Later on soviets found it and used both to make one ,still not functional ,but visual. Is at the Kubinka tank museum

One was built, the 2nd had no turret. When the Soviet troops found the broken Maus, they put its turret to the incomplete one, and sent to Kubinka

An interesting display! One thing that stands out to me (as a model builder for more than half a century) is the surprising number of these "Crazy German Prototype Tanks" that are currently available as conventional, injection-molded (as opposed to cast resin or 3D Printed) model kits - starting with the very first one shown; the Kugelpanzer - to the 28cm Kanone 3 Auf Lastentraeger E-75, near the end. There are also a number of E-Series models, and even several iterations of the Lowe projects that may be found either online or at a well-stocked hobby shop. One slight quibble: The 1000-Ton "Grotte" tank at 8:50 was originally designed by German engineer Edward F. Grote for the Soviet Union in the early 1930's. When he returned to Germany around 1935, this became the basis for the German P.1000 "Ratte" Tank; which is conspicuously absent from this lineup. Thanks for posting this. Though now I'm looking into scratch building that freakish Project NM shown at 8:13, as this is the first I've ever heard or seen of this wackadoodle idea. (Or maybe I'll just wait until someone at Modelcollect sees this, and calls his boss . . . .) My Like is in the 2.3Ks

Do you use any plugin to texture your Sketchup models? If all your models are made in Sketchup ofc. The camouflage looks outstanding, huge respect for all the work you put into those 3D models.

Pretty sure Tiger Maus's turret is mounted in the middle rather than rear mounted. I mean, it was an idea to make it rear mounted but most designs shows it being mounted in the middle.

Maus wasn't crazy: big gun and rear turret are standard in modern vehicles Panzerhaubitze2000 or Koalitsya 155/152mm; better technology of armour production and stronger motor- engine composed better armour protection+ better power/weight ratio

Prototype means 'An original model on which something is patterned' so MOST of these are BS. Drawings are not prototypes, the hardware needed to exist.

Well, as it's said there - we don't know where the gun was supposed to be mounted on the proposed vehicle. WG just made their own variant of this idea, putting the gun in the back. Some people think that JP E100 had more of a jagdpanther-like hull, we'll never know the truth
