Wow one of the finest videos!. Remarkable improvement in the quality of content. Hats off to you Ella! 👏. Really enterprising and thrilling too. It was a quite challenging to travel in a jungle. I guess, you weren't in a panic mode. Atleast you had a delicious breakfast though you didn't have a peaceful lunch 😅. Surrounded by mammoth eagles. Thank God!. Atlast you had a pleasant stay at tent⛺️. Oh... you're drop dead gorgeous Ella 👌. A good content 👌 👍. Keep up the good work 👍

Definitely a unique experience! I probably don't do the food justice as I am not a fan of fruit, salad or vegetables so at buffets I do make a bee-line for the carbs, haha! There were other choices that were likely far healthier 😅

Wildebeest and zebra teaches us an important lesson. These wildebeest see there herd member being killed by crocodile, lion or sometimes hyena. Those who survive move on. Whenever anything unfortunate happen to human… they should do same. That is move on. Amazing video. Subscribed

That chocolate cake look super tasty. How long were you stuck on the side of the road? I don't think I could have gotten much sleep with the sounds of the hyenas. I would be worried they would come into my tent. It looked like you had an amazing safari.
@EllaMcKendrick
@EllaMcKendrick 11 ай бұрын
The chocolate cake was a dream indeed 😋 I think we must have been there for around 30 minutes at least. I typically love the hyena sounds but yeah the realisation that I had chicken in my tent terrified me. The guard on duty that night said that a lioness walked straight through the camp! I slept through that part 🤣 Really wishing I'd set up a camera trap

Hey Ella! Which month and what time of the month was this? I am planning to go this season and was wondering if you advise skipping the crater and going straight, how many days to spend in the serengeti, and if you thought it was crowded!
@EllaMcKendrick
@EllaMcKendrick 10 ай бұрын
Hello! This was in late September last year. I believe the best times to view the wildebeest crossing are August and September. I actually really enjoyed Ngorongoro Crater. It's a very unique place to go on safari - I don't think you'll find anywhere else on earth with the same landscape. It almost felt like I was entering the Lost World as we descended into the crater. So if you have the time to visit both Ngorongoro and Serengeti, I'd definitely recommend doing both! I spent 3 nights in Serengeti. I wouldn't have wanted to spend any less time there. I saw everything I wanted to in 3 days but it's honestly paradise there so I could have spent even more time! It was busy but I didn't find it too crowded. For example, we always got great views at each sighting. Sometimes there could be 10-15 cars all at one sighting (that was at its worst) but I think compared to Kruger in South Africa and the Masai Mara in Kenya this is quiet. I also think September is a lot quieter than August. I hope this helps you!

I saw the great migration in northern Serengeti, at the Mara River. It's very close to the border with Kenya's Masai Mara. This was in September. The migration can be found in different parts of the Serengeti throughout the year. I believe they start crossing from Serengeti to the Masai Mara in mid-July. I hope this helps you!

This was in late September. Mid-August to early-September is more reliable for seeing the crossing - we just got lucky that the rains came early and prompted the wildebeest to make their journey back earlier than usual.
