One of the BEST ways to promote hair growth is by micro-needling. Micro-needling helps induce growth factors, increases collagen production, and improves scalp circulation.

Welcome to my KZfaq channel Hairliciously. In this channel, I will be taking you on a journey of my FUE hair transplant progress. Towards the end of November 2016, I had a 1700 FUE hair transplant done in South Korea at Motion Clinic (en.motionclinic.kr) to lower my hairline and to fill in my receding temples. The FUE hair transplant procedure took me about 7-8 hours to complete and cost me approximately $5000 USD.

I will be doing daily updates on my hair transplant progress, so feel free to subscribe and ask any questions you have. Thanks for visiting!

=======================================
Products I am using to supplement my FUE hair transplant:
1. HAIRLICIOUSLY Dr Pen 1.5mm 1-2x a week. (temples and hairline)
2. HAIRLICIOUSLY Hair Growth Supplement 2x a day
3. Minoxidil (Rogaine) - Minoxidil slows hair loss progression and promotes hair regrowth. I've noticed that using Minoxidil helped me grow my transplanted hairs a lot more quicker.
4. Pumpkin Seed Oil 1000 mg + HAIRLICIOUSLY Vitamins
5. HAIRLICIOUSLY Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

So I heard of Microneedling for acne and overall face beauty... But then I ran into this! There's also a similar but bigger one (I think) called THE BANISHER, it's made for the face but I'm more than sure you can use it on your scalp, please correct me if I'm wrong. The needles are made out of actual GOLD for antibacterial effect and so they don't dull or at least, don't do so very easily. The only thing I would say is, it doesn't function automatically like the one you made.

I have never had a receding hair line I just started losing my hair on the top and my top back part of my head when I turned 40. So I would say I started going thinner at around 38 years of age. I am hoping to start with the minoxidil topical from Costco for around 17 dollars since its cheap and I have nothing to lose anymore. I am at number 7. There is hair but not much. I have mostly lost all of the hair on the top of my head the crown if you can call it that. I know that I will have to take minoxidil for the rest of my life but I am fine with that as long as I see results. I pray to God that my hair grows back when I start taking the product for more then 6 months.

Would you be able to discuss something. What causes scalp tenderness, excess itching. Is it something you ever experienced. People say hair loss is related to the galea being pulled sparked by dht and not dht attacking individual hair follicles. Would love to get your thought. I can't find a single video on youtube talking about scalp pain/tenderness and dandruff. Is it something you had?
@litjellyfish

jack paster what people say that? If it was not DHT attacking follicles (they they know) who would people with no scalp tenderness an dandruff who loose hair stop loosing hair with finasteride? Naw I don’t think dandruff etc affect hair loss. Of course it’s not ideal but there are people with a lot of dandruff with full hair

@@litjellyfish Yeah I'm going to disagree completely. Dandruff is a great precurspor to hair loss. I don't know a single person who has dandruff that has kept all of their hair. Hair is a part of your skin. If your skin isn't healthy, AKA if you have fucking dandruff, your hair wont be healthy either. Your scalp needs to be ready to keep and rejuvenate the hair you want.

@@hairliciously take a look. perfecthairhealth.com/scalp-tension-hair-loss/ @HairLiciously I read this. i think doctors know nothing about hair loss. The hair follicle is a complex organ so why would there be a complex cause like dht attacking a hair follicle. Makes no sense. And doctors know nothing about hair loss, when you go half the time they say their hands are tied. When you read this I'm sure your mind will be changed. This literally explained why every pain I have in my scalp.

I asked my dermatologist about it. He recommended against doing it myself but to have it professionally done, because of the danger of infection, the availability of numbing cream, and the difficulty of applying it to oneself thoroughly and evenly. He said I should talk to his assistant, who does microneedling. Well, I talked to her and quickly discovered that she doesn't do microneedling on the scalp for hair loss -- only on the face for better complexion. She suggested I contact one of the "beauty spas" in town that do microneedling. I looked at their websites, and they, too, appear to do microneedling only on the face for complexion. For hair loss they advertised only some "Rich Platelet Plasma" treatment that I'd never heard of. So what's the deal? Why does no one around here seem to offer it as a service for hair restoration?

Any tips on microneedling on a scalp with a full head of hair? I have hair all over my head, but it's thinning out, especially at the crown, so I'm at that awkward in between stage where if I do it wrong, hair can get pulled out ( I found out that that's happened to some people via research, not from personal experience). Granted, the guy who I read about said he used a derma roller and not a pen, but do you think hair would get pulled out if I used a derma pen?

I would actually disagree with some people here. I think the pen "cut" my hair way more than the roller or the stamp ever have. I still use the pen but I went from 1.5 to .75. When my hair was long, I noticed the pen was literally shredding my healthy hair if I was not careful and didn't needle in the "trenches" so to speak. Just my experience so far.
@litjellyfish
@litjellyfish 4 жыл бұрын
Johnny G yes but with the pen you should do the trench dividing anyway? With cut do you mean it cuts of the hair? For me the issue was more about entanglement where I felt less with the pen How was stamping? Never tried. I always saw that just like a manual slower pen?

I have noticed significant regrowth of medium-height hairs in my hairline (they are probably still growing). I don’t know if it’s from fin, since I started fin and min together with microneedling, but it seems microneedling has helped a lot. 1.5mm every week is the best. It hurts for at least 1-2h after the application, but it’s worth it. Needling everyday seems too excessive but there is also anecdotal evidence that a daily 0.25 of microneedling can be equally beneficial.

My hubby has been using our Dr. Pen every Sunday at 1.5mm. His scalp bleeds and reddens. It’s been 6-sessions and his hair has basically come back to life. It’s pretty amazing how dead the scalp was to bring it back to life by injuring the skin. He is going to do 2-more sessions then let his hair grow out. You better believe he’s planning on letting it get long. Lol. Our question is…Is this something he’s going to have to continue doing once the hair has grown back? Wearing a hat or hard hat might pull on hairs but it wouldn't really cause dramatic hair loss. People usually lose anywhere up to 50 hairs a day without wearing a hat. Hair loss is usually caused by prolonged periods of stress to the point it starts to affect lifestyle and more importantly, sleep. When people experience stress, testosterone levels increase which produces a chemical known as DHT, and it this chemical what causes hair loss. When this starts to happen, you can fall into a vicious cycle, because stress levels could be increased more due to noticing hair loss. Stress+testosterone+DHT=hair loss Hair loss=stress and the cycle starts again. Stress can also cause problems with your thyroid gland (due to diet change) which regulates hormones.
