Have had a baby Molly miller for about a year and a half now. Realized he bullied my baby clam to death. I found a little bite marks all over his mantle. I sent the bunny downstairs to another tank. After about three months I have started getting lots of aptasia. So basically, he will do an amazing job at controlling pest anemones. However, they can go after clam mantels when you’re bored or hungry.

Gotta go back to just 1 light plugged in until growth fills the screen. And a nice tray brushing would be great too!

Is your rodi at 0 tds? Might be what's feeding that algae? Had that algae in my tank and when I got new tds meter for my rodi, it was pretty high. It's 99% gone now. It's a weird type of "algae"...it's like cyano, hair algae and dinos, all in 1. It's like having to fight all 3 😂....like come on tank...just settle down already haha. The good news is that it's not hard to beat. Just getting the rodi water in check will give one the upper hand on fighting it. Mine is actually gone now...🙌 do pack on new carbon tho...that stuff is toxic as sin when it dies off. Hopefully you'll get rid of it as well then you'll be left with a pristine tank and your only problem will be de the constant need to trim the corals 😂🙌

Jo fam I must say. Content wise is this entertaining to follow. But energy and piece of minde wise (for you) you're doing too much. In this hobby less is more. I'm in this hobby for over 3 decades. Only issue i have is bubble algae but the fox face has that under control. My (fish/ inverts/corral) growth is exorbitant fast. The only things I do with my Mixed Reef; -keep the parameters/ nutrients in check (Dosing: Kh/Ca/Mg/Po4). -checking the equipment. -testing every week, -having a chiller heather combi maintaining the temp. -once a year a water change. The rest is auto feeding, Mobius for randomizing the flow, and the most important oneS; hands out of the tank and leve it alone and enjoy. I used to run into problems, then i noticed that it was always after doing water changes (disrupting the balance) and when using certain salt brands. After I stoped doing (too much) water changes and started using Aquarium Systems Reef Crystal salt, no more problems. I don't say this is the best way but for almost 3 decades its this whats keeping me in the hobby.
